That's why Milan gloat about being the most successful club in Italy and only behind Real Madrid in Europe despite having much less scudettos than you.
Juve are Italy's most successful club. Milan have more international titles but we play in the same country so you include all domestic trophies. Not a hard concept really.

Actually, I think that very soon the serie A teams, including Juventus, will start operating in a similar fashion to Porto. The big teams in Italy aren't that powerful anymore to just buy a good player for a lot of money, so they will have to look for new ways and even buy+play unproven players.
I think we will operate slightly differently, although along the same lines, and already are. We are getting young talents from 14 to 19, at the high end players who are ready to participate in the first team squad.

My response was initially more a case of identifying a player for the CF to gamble on, more than anything else, but I don't see the Porto model working completely for Juve. We will still go for impressive Italian or foreign players in smaller teams in Italy, that is just part of our identity as a club.

Would you consider Vucinic, Matri and Quagliarella to be failures?
Yes.

Either ways since we'll prob never get Falcao, or any "top" striker will wait for Immobile (Trez the Second) and Bokye (Eto'o 2.0) to be ready to tear shit up for us.

We can't afford to sign WC strikers, we can't afford to sign youg prospects from SA, but we can afford to stock average players one after the other.

I'd rather we sign prospects and have no regrets even if they flop than a panic buy at the end of a mercato just for the sake of it. Would you rather sign the likes of Kaka & Silva for under 10m or Boriello and Bendtner who won't do shit and leave after a year?

:D

Aguero was tearing $#@! up and he went for 42 mil, I think ATM will eventually sell him for 45 or in swap with some team, maybe for HIguain, Torres..
Aguero was bought for €23m when he was a teenager and was eventually sold for €45m.

Falcao was bought for €40m when he was ripping the Portuguese league as well as the EL.You'd have to think he'll be sold for atleast €20m more than what they paid for him.He is basically carrying Atletico atm and achieved the same amount of silverware in 1 year what Aguero could do in 5 years.Plus you can easily say ,he's in his prime right now..He would have been in Ronaldo and Messi's league in terms of 'glamour' quotient had he been playing for a much bigger club or in the PL.If Lucas Moura is worth €45m ,Falcao is definitely worth €60-65m in today's market.

I'm not arguing his worth, i'm just saying there isn't much teams that can afford to pay 60+ mil for him, you could rule out Real/Barca/Man Utd/PSG. You are left with only chelsea and to an extent Man City.

Dude Real Madrid can easily splash the money if they want to.I'm sure they would see Falcao as a 'Galactico' right now and they would recoup all the money they would pay for him courtesy their brilliant marketing strategy. But the problem is Atletico wont sell to Madrid.

You cant be so sure with teams stacked with tons of cash..PSG are trying to follow the Madrid route as well.."Spend to increase revenue"..Doesnt matter if they have Ibra but you just cant count them as a non-contender for his signature.

Though i still think Chelsea are in pole position to sign him.Torres is playing at Matri/Amauri level right now.

That's what i meant, ATM won't sell to Real, just like for Aguero, they'll want his release clause.

Don't see PSG trying to replace Ibra in such a short time.

Chelsea is the only reasonable destination.
