I don't think to ask that professional athletes not play in 50C temperatures is "elitist."
I agree, its unreasonable and unrealistic to ask professional athletes to play in such conditions. Again, that is why I am strongly for shifting it to the winter.

agreed, but Wc should be place in place with good values, libya. Not qatar, they are the elitits slave owner, the prince of evil.
Not a very good idea right now :D

So countries whose climates do not align with Europe's priorities should fuck off and never dream of hosting a WC?

Sorry, not subscribing to such elitist, exclusionary logic.
But isn't it reasonable to think that some places are not ideal for some things?

And to try to ignore the fact that europe is a major part of football, plus I don't think that moving it to winter will not cause any problems for SA is wrong too and those two continents are where football is at. So to move it to winter just so that one nation bribed for bragging rights is kind of silly. Specially for the reasons of equality and everyone should have a chance. What if that chance(which isn't even won by normal criteria, but bribing) fucks up everyone else?

I think there is a very strong probability that the officials were bribed, not denying that at all. However I think similar practices were probably used in previous bids, probably more subtle though.

qatar's though is so outlandish, i mean we are talking about changing the scheduling of the WC for the first time ever. Change the dynamics of world football for a footballistically irrelevant nation/market. I know you believe there's a little bit of racism in the criticism, but imo it's mostly against the poor taste and lack of consideration of a petulant nouveau riche nation.

Fred, do you have slaves?
Nope, last I checked though western civilization was built on the sweat of African slaves.

Not condoning Qatar's labor and human rights record at all, but Qatar is a relatively new country, and naturally would take time to evolve.

Fred, you african, not an elitist slave owner. Middle east can be evil without appearing to be.

I dislike middle east, not my culture. Theirs is evil.

And its why country like france and italy should be forgiving so that they can evolve, and most importantly if we want africa to move towards a great future. Fuvk hatred, fuck the past. Only the present moment counts.

I would actually have liked to see a World Cup in Morocco. I know it's the not the middle east, but they are also not a tiny little rich country with a one-upmanship complex.

Morocco would be cool, and it is definetly much more reasonable then Qatar.

But you do think its fair to say that Qatar has bribed officials. Nothing new, obviously thats easier for you to believe.

Elitist :howler:
It's not a charity - let's see what will happen, if the major countries in Europe won't participate.

Like they are going to say no to Qatar. By 2022, they'll have bought teams in every one of the major leagues in Europe.

That implies that Europeans have balls. We know this is false
