So...

Is Figo [fee-go] [fee-gou] or [ve-go]??
Fee-gou

I recently learned that the o in Portuguese should be pronounced ou when it's the last letter in a word.

So:

Fee-gou
Ronal-dou

the double ll pronouced as a y is a sound only made in spanish, ive never seen that in italian and it is montella, the double l just gives it a harder l sound but never the y

the spanish from spain will say luish, gomesh, etc because making a "sh" sound when pronouncing s is a very particular thing people from spain do. but figo's name would be luis and a correct form to pronounce his last name would be vego. hope that helped
    thanx alot.. fabiana..

Does anyone know how darko Kovacevich's name is pronounced?

I, for some reason, keep calling im Ko-va-tje-vitsj.
But some of my friends think it's Ko-va-see-vitsj.

And what about Pessotto? Do you say. Piss-otto, like in pissoff, but with the two f's offcourse.
