UK following the USA, where everything is analysed through the lens of left-wing/ right-wing. in few years everybody will be identified as left-winger or right-winger , and more open confrontation will follow suit.
double standard everywhere

BBC has a strict rule that all presenters should be impartial and not air political views when working for BBC or on personal social media. It is publicly funded and residents need to pay a fee if they own a TV or stream BBC, so seems fair. Most people know the rule but Lineker has repeatedly ignored this and has got in trouble.

People who don't like the government or BBC seem to be jumping on it and using free speech as the excuse. Regardless of your political views the BBC has clear rules and he broke them. If he wants to express his views on social media there is nothing stopping him leaving the BBC, same with any other presenter.

Sounds about right.

Shouldn't have signed the contract if you don't like it.

The big joke is everyone is talking about the BBC and Lineker and not the asylum policy that started it. Just another example about it never being the thing anymore, just the huddling and finger-pointing adjacent to the thing.

Kloppo :touched:

Beats ManU 7-0 one week. Loses to dead last Bournemouth 1-0 the next week.

Probably should have conserved some energy in the second half against ManU :seven:
