Man, I love redcafe.

"Haaland missed 22 games since May 2020. And the premier league is physically more demanding because the game is faster and the opponents are more robust.

The question is can he sustain his style in the PL?"

The EPL fanboy smug is just too funny.

The recent CL victories have done little to help that to be fair. But they actually think their league is faster and shit. Its just more wide open because nobody can defend.

FUCKING MAGUIRE WENT FOR 90M.

They have a point. Didn’t you see how much Salah and Coutinho struggled in the PL after destroying everyone in Serie A?

But why is it "faster". Presumably in the past, it used to be because English football is more direct and physical. But now all the managers are foreign and 70+ percent of the players are too. These are managers and players that did not grow up being conditioned to this supposed "English style".

I really don't understand why these stereotypes persist. The Serie A is no longer significantly more defensive, English teams are not necessarily the most physical or none of these outdated myths that used to be true before globalization and sharing of practices eroded all these differences.

Seriously look at the top teams especially. Are Milan, Inter, Atalanta and Napoli defensive teams? Are Man City, Liverpool, Utd or Chelsea teams that play traditional 4-4-2's with fast wingers and direct football?

Yeah the stereotypes don't hold true anymore. The way of playing has been globalized for the most part.

Definitely, in the PL you are much more likely to see teams split the centerbacks and insist on playing out from the back, than play long to big target man and feed off second balls. You will find a 3-5-2 with wingbacks being key (that used to be more popular in Italy) more often than you'd find a 4-4-2 with wingers.

In Italy you are just as likely to find coaches being inspired and influenced by possession based football as you are in Spain. As much as fans love to keep peddling these myths, they're just no longer true.

their forum is really named like this
Quite a few English teams used to use cockerels or bantams (a small variety of fowl) as their nicknames, some of them stuck.

It's pretty obvious for Spurs when you think of their name and their club logo.

Greenwood is finished, jesus christ what a piece of shit.
