Come on. You know I’m talking about CL. I said many times that I thought you would go all in on the PL because your squad wasn’t deep enough for both tournaments. But I was wrong. It is strong enough. You still got lucky in the group stages, though.

Just realized that. I thought otherwise cause a lot of Liverpool fans have been bashing him and he hasn’t looked that good, when I wached your games.

1). Yeah, we were rotating a lot between CL and PL at the time with the obvious priority being the PL. Plus our group was difficult with PSG and Napoli.

2). He had a run of matches where things weren't happening. Like all strikers do from time to time. His touch was off, he was overthinking shot placement, etc. He kept working hard and getting into good positions and finally things turned around. Really speaks to the player he is.

Fun fact, Mane also has 20 PL goals this season. I'd rather have two guys with 20 than one guy with 40. Some fans don't get why that's better.
