But Leicester is not a top team.
They were a top team last season. Their success last season was based on some great form from certain individuals and a crazy motivated squad who knew they might not get this chance ever again. Ranieri is probably not the best man to kick players asses when they relax too much and that's in my opinion exactly what happened.

Kante is a very good player, but he isn't world class.
You must not watch him very much; it's not a coincidence the whole Leicester team was in shambles before he came, and after he left. Dude is the most hardworking ball winner on the planet and its barely a competition. ''World class'' must differ from person to person, but I'd consider him that too.

I'm sorry, but if you truly believe motivation is the problem, you're deluded. Their team just isn't better and they didn't strenghten the squad. In fact, they weakened it. With also playing European football, this was bound to happen. And let's be honest. Their CL group was a joke. It wasn't even good enough for the old UEFA Cup.

Agree. It's not only short-term form now as he has shown it in two different teams. He's a limited player but when you are as good as he is those certain things it really doesn't matter, but I think that is what makes some people doubt his quality.

I don't think you are completely getting me. I'm not saying they should have won or even challenged for the title, but they needed to have higher goals even if they would have been delusional. After winning the league it's not easy to motivate players if they think this was as far as we can go, it's only downhill from here.

They have good enough team to be comfortably in the top half of the table.

I really disagree with the bolded part.
I just can't see motivation as a factor for a team like Leicester. Last season was surreal and the players knows that.

He is world class. His engine is one of a kind.
Dude is doing a two-man job.

Easily world class DM, actually watch him play, his relentless solo defensive work frees up the entire Chelsea midfield to attack in suffocating style under Conte, overwhelming wide and allways feeling like they playing with 12 players almost.

Now I truly want them to get relegated
Same, what ungrateful fucking pricks.

Do the likes of Stoke and WBA really have better teams in your opinion?

Of course motivation plays a huge part for them, as it does for everyone. Being crazy motivated last season was one of their biggest strengths in winning the league.

Not sure how you think they won the league last season if motivation doesn't play a part for them and they have a mediocre squad.

What happened last season was an exception. You think motivation plays a big part and I think the team isn't good eough for top 10.

It's not really a convincing argument saying something is an exception. There must be some reasons that lead to that exception happening. Can't put it down to luck either as it's 38 games not one.

Not sure how it's even arguable that motivation plays a huge part in sports.

I'm not calling it luck and motivation is indeed a factor. But you're talking about Leicester like they're a regular top 10 team, when they - in fact - are not.

Which says a lot about PL temas. What happened to Leicester is the same which happens, when a mediocre team, like Sassuolo, qualifies for the EL.
Btw. It's not the same team. They sold a world class player.
They sold one world class player but it's not like he alone was scoring goals, assisting and saving goals. There were others who were motivated to do the job. If you read the players and ranieri's interview on what pushed them every game and how they won the league was simple motivation. It was a mental thing, teamwork etc they reached their limits and can't go back. We saw a similar thing with verona in 1984 when they pulled a Leicester and won serie A. A season later they were nowhere near. It's hard to keep the same mentality.
