Plenty of my best friends have a completely different opinion on political matters than me. On the other hand, a lot of dickheads have the some political views as me. Now, I don't know any high-profile politician personally enough to really judge their character, but I'm assuming that they are, when it comes down to it, only human as well, and that there are a few assholes as well as likeable people in every single political camp. Hence, basing my vote or support on whose personality I like seems idiotic.
