Hi all. I didn't post for a long time up here, but i thought i'd share my thoughts on our current situation...
First of all, i think we should all relax a little. Don't get me wrong, i was extremely pissed after the palermo-game and i was thinking about possible ranieri-replacements too... at first! But now if i consider all the facts i think a coach-change would be the worst thing to do. And it's quite obvious and undoubtable imo;
It's obvious to everyone that ranieri is not our long-term solution for juventus. He was brought in because of obvious reasons (financial reasons, mainly) and i do in fact still believe that bringing ranieri was not a bad move. Kicking him out now will just further disturb our team morale.
And to those people who believe Prandelli will just throw himself at our feet... don't be naive. He has some great things going on in fiorentina. He got high quality signings, has decent team with a rather good prospective... Do you seriously believe he'll just sign for juve at this current moment? CL pressure (a juve coach MUST aim for CL sooner or later), a rather unbalanced team (3 or even 4 DMs but no really good sub for the defensive row), and with our key players starting to fade out (neddy is probably gone next year, del piero won't go on forever, and camo and trez will follow one day). Even if Prandelli was a Juve-fan deep down in his heart, giving up his rather comfortable position in fiorentina (where he performs better than expected) would be a big step to take.
And the same thing goes for all the other names that were stated... I don't think that a coach-change would bring any positive results. But then again, i don't think we should get into that "we-are-bad"-mood. I mean we had some bad games lately, no one is going to deny that, and we surely don't play the fancy stuff we fans would want to see, but come on... on day 6 of the chamipnship, you can't really say much about the season. We surely need to improve, but it's not like it's the end of the world already!
We beat zenit (something i wouldn't have expected at all!), we still have everything in our hands (CL and championship)... If we can't get passed Group stage in CL, and we don't really get out of this miserable position in the serie-a Table, THEN we can talk about what to do next.
I'd suggest we give everyone a break. We currently have injury problems, and severe fitness issues. I mean i'm not going to go and look for excuses (i'm sure it has been discussed thoroughly in the game-thread), but with camo, zanetti and nedved missing, it was pretty obvious to me, that our midfield would fail miserably. Our main mistake in the transfer period was poulsen, not because he is that bad or because he isn't needed. The problem is that a replacement for zanetti was much more needed! And that's all!
We sucked really hard last sunday, but it's not like we gave away every chance to win anything. Once we get back legro, chiellini (don't rate him at 100% yet), camo and above all zanetti, i think we can improve A LOT.
