the X.5s ratings would add more precision,esp to determine the difference on perfomance of two players wich had a similar apodosis,
but i guess, it would be more complicate to come up with an average...:frown:

Andy is Good at writting,he can tell you exactly what he is thinking in the best way, he can describe it right.But many times he is very biased,specially when it comes to Zlatan and Del piero thing,and Capello of course,Like I mentioned earlier.
Stuart,is kinda like that,but more objective,I would add him in the list,no problem.

As for me,I think,I am objective,I don't think with my dick when Juve is losing 3-0 or we are playing a boring match,I am relaxed.I would look at the positive sides also of the player,what he did in 90 minutes,and not just the goals or assists.
If this thing was about writting long paragraphs about each players,i wouldn't nominate myself.Because English is my 4th language or so,I wouldn't writte it in good english the toughts in my head.

voting for our team's players, no matter how objective we will try to see with our Juventini eyes always includes the risk of hyped ratings,
thats why someone more....severe...is needed to keep the balance in the average result...

I disagree. Andy is IMO one of the most objective members here. I think he tells it pretty much like it is and his knowledge of the game cannot be questioned.

IMO the person who will vote should not be a fan of any player.that's where things start to get biased most of the times.he will think because of his feelings or frustration.and even against coach.
the member could give a low rating to the coach for example,when he doesn't play the system he prefers,or if he plays it boring.things like that.or if he doesn't start with his favourite player.and would give a low rate for the replacement player.

I agree with Stuart on this one, we should use the Italian syste, with ratings from 1-10, which, in reality, would be from 3-9.

A 10 should be a performance that happens once in a few years, and absolutely historic match for a certain player, perhaps Sheva's 4 goals, while, IMO, a 9 would be fantastic match, perhaps a hattrick, a goal and an assist or two and in general a great performance.

However, IMO, usually the highest mark will be an 8, which would be a very good or excellent performance.

7 would be a good match in which the player achieved most of what was asked of him.

6 a decent, average performance.

5 below average, not satisfying.

4 very poor performance.

3 absolutely woeful, pathetic performance.

That's exactly what I was thinking. We should have a basic comment or description if you will for each rating, like me and you have given, which would then make it easy for the raters to match the players' performance to a rating just by having a quick look at the comments. As you said 10s would be near impossible to obtain and 9s would be reserved for simply stunning performances. The MoM would usually get an 8, maybe a 7 if no one really excelled in that particular match, 6 would be average, 5 disappointing, 4 poor and 3 horrible.
