Its true that I dont like Capello, but it has NOTHING to do with the player ratings

If Zlatan has a good game (like against Roma), then I'll say so...but if he has a shit game, I'll do the same (to the dismay of all the Zlatan lovers here)

Same goes for DP...if he plays poorly, like he did against Brugge (until he scored), then I'll say so too

The bottom line is...I tell it like it is !!

maybe if you explain me why you hate Capello,I will know if I misunderstood you. for me Lippi or Ancelotti are not better than Capello,they didn't play more offensive or more entertaining than Capello's,while I think Capello could be a little more entertaining than those two when they were in Juve.

I know the coach get criticized for that a lot,and for Zlatan,he needs to play regular,to gain confiedence and perform better,you guys ask evertime he plays a bad match to be benched.will that help him?I don't think so.it will jsut giive him tough times,and he will leave then,we will lose after all.Del piero is 31,people still say that he should play regular,I know he has a great career,I can't deny that, but if he plays regular,won't we lose Zlatan?who is a great talent?keep him a sub,he is a super sub IMO.look what he is doing.now tell me you or someone else, how can this makes me a zlatan fan?

I don't see any wrong to say that.it's just my opinion,I think player's fans will be biased sometimes.no need to take that personal..anyway I take that back,since I am not in this anymore.I just explained my points,no need to get insulted or feel disrespected for that.

IMO, just so you know where I stand on this... I think this will work best not only if we have a respect for each others' opinions, but if we also invite a diversity of opinion. People are going to come with their own personal biases no matter what. Pro-Capello, anti-Capello, what have you.

So I have nothing against, for example, having a DP lover and a Zlatan lover contribute because they will reflect potentially differing viewpoints that a single one, or a group of 15 yes-men (or women) in unison, would not surface. And with this many opinions in the lot, it should even out in the wash.

In the meantime, thanks to everyone who has gotten back to my PMs on the subject. I am aggregating the replies thus far and will be sharing it with the mods and Marty this evening for discussion.

I think that question has already been answered in our respective posts...specifically the ones in the match threads. And to be honest Capello is not the most classy person either, so it's no wonder why some here don't like him.

For Vinni and I, we don't dislike Capello just because he doesn't always play Del Piero...couldn't be further from the truth.

I dont like the way so many players are playing out of position (Mutu, Nedved, and putting Blasi as a RB)

That way you won't get the "most objective" ratings (a goal incredibly difficult to achieve no matter how you twist it), you'll be getting a nice cross section of the forum, where both meticuous analysts and rash fanboys are represented.

It would be more like.. dare I say it.. a general election.

but we are doing ok with the system Vin.aren't we?many coaches try to use players out of their position,like Lippi for example,when he used Zambrotta and Thuram,and probably other players.

about your sig,I am not 100% sure about that,I know with his Roma,he gave the big teams very hard times including us,and with Juventus,as far as I remember I will give you examples,last year,against Milan we draw home win away,against Inter we drew both matches,we disqualified Real madrid,we have beaten Bayer munich home and away.I will not include other teams like Roma and Lazio since you guys consider them "smaaller" teams.

This year,we have beaten Inter home,we lost Milan away.we won over Bayern home and lost away.

I don't know how u have that opinion on him,If I see the total,it seems he overcame the big teams mostly,would you prove me if I am wrong?

It would not work, Martin. People could easily skew the results by giving the same players a two every match just because he/she is biased against him. The ratings would not be as accurate as a selected group of posters who have shown they are reliable enough to give at least somewhat objective ratings.

No this is not a popularity contest. If this was merely a popularity contest Seven would not in the running, and I probably would not be either. If you are being considered for this job you have shown in the past you are a good observer of the team and can watch the matches regulary...if not, your views are still respected.

And if you don't like the idea that's perfectly fine...just take your own ideas and thoughts about other good ideas to another thread because this one is devoted to this task. Thanks.

No offense, but for those who actually care about this project, we need to keep on task and not have to deal with petty discussions. We know you do not like this idea and prefer others, that's cool, however we can always make another thread to discuss the other great ideas on the forum.
