It happend because we let it happen...
I don't agree with this, we don't know for sure if Juventus were interest in bringing Pizarro in the first place, we only heard about Roumors linking him with Juve... but these roumors also link him with Milan, Inter, Juve, Atletico Madrid and Roma...

Pizarro join Inter coz he choose to, not becouse Juve "let him go"

Exactly. Capello just has no need for a player like Pizarro who cannot hold himself up in the tackling department. But still, next to Emerson the Chilean would have good cover behind him, however Capello wants two central middies who can tackle. That's the breaks, and that is why we are on Vieira's trail.

The partnership of Patrick Vieira and Emerson would be one kick-ass midfield, something Juventus has yet to have since the departure of Zidane. Moggi always fails to support the most obvious weaknesses in the squad. Last year, the purchase of Emerson added some strength to the midfield, but an atrocious Blasi, who had no experience in a big-team midfield, and the lack of a winger on the left flank to help an injury-prone Nedved only brought down the midfield.

The aquisition of Pizarro would be great if Lippi were still in charge of the bench. Pizarro is an attacking midfielder, and would feature perfectly in Lippi's 4-3-1-2 formation to replace Nedved, who could be placed on the flank. Unfortunately, that formation isn't found in Capello's books, so it's probably a good thing Juve saved some cash.

It happend becouse Pizarro want to get out of Unidese at any cost and becouse Inter its Inter
Apparently things haven't changed at Inter, and it is still Morratti, not the coach that identifies the 'required' players. Another 'trophyless' season anyone?

Emerson and Vieira would make a superb midfield, but I don't know if that would be such a good idea for our attacking options. In my opinion Emerson is a lot better in attack then Vieira, so we would still have creativity problems in midfield.

I'd still choose Pizarro over Vieira, because he is exactly what our team needs at the moment and signing Vieira would cost us a ton for wages.

If the two can synchronize between attacking and defending, you will witness a midfield pair that is capable of doing wonders.

But for how long the question remains? Both are 29 if im not mistaken. Id expect them to see out Capello's reign at the club. Thereafter however, we may need some replacements.

I will not worry about the replacements this season. Then I see a bright future with Appiah and Blasi actually. These two being on the bench and used to substitute Emerson and Vieria can gain a lot and hopefully improve. I see no problem at all in using two "old" midfielders.

Long enough to win us the CL(2-3) years,
to do this we need a team of prooven champions,
with exp,we cant wait for younger to get at world class status,
Emo+Vieira would be the best defensive duo in europe,
this way, we further secure and strenghen our best weapon,
the defence,
Pizarro defensive skills doesnt mach Vieira's creative abilities,
Vieira isnt a man who cant pass/combine with other players,
he hasnt zero creativity, but he excells in the defence,
he is an overrall a better solution+player than Pizarro,

Personally i would be more confident that the Vieira-Emo duo would stop the likes of Ronaldinio,
than the Pizarro-Emo duo would dribble through Gerrard,
our teams specialisation is the defence, this is where we could excell

“As for the Pizarro transfer - we are close. And the fee is similar to that speculated in the Press, cash and part-ownership of Goran Pandev.”

The player has already passed his medical and Pizarro’s agent Fernando Hidalgo commented: “Pizarro is looking forward to signing, and would like to thanks both Udinese and Inter for their efforts”

We can attack down the wings with Camoranesi and Nedved. That would be a stellar counter-attack.
