I think it's today.

Anyway, Pavel took de Ceglie under his wing and will go on a little holiday with him. Pavel's wife said that Pavel is treating him like a son.

Good for Pavel!!!

Nedved loses fresh appeal Thursday 21 December, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus have failed in their latest appeal against the five-match ban handed to star midfielder Pavel Nedved.

The Czech was given the severe punishment after he was sent-off in injury time during the December 1 match with Genoa for stamping on opponent Francesco Bega.

He then reacted violently to referee Stefano Farina, offended him and voluntarily stamped on his foot, as confirmed by the report submitted to the League’s disciplinary commission.

“The foul on his opponent was judged as violent and voluntary by the referee. As to the following reaction, the report does not leave any margins for interpretation,” read an official statement.

“The player moved towards the referee with a threatening manner, complaining and voluntarily stepping on his left foot.”

Juventus had decided to lodge an initial appeal against the verdict, considered unfair, but were denied.

They then went up in front of the CAF court who this evening have decided against adjusting the sentence.

The former Lazio player has already missed two games, against Verona and Bologna, and will be ruled out Friday’s tie against Arezzo.
