He has quality that all of us are aware off. But his style of play is not that effective, mostly lacking pace, he has to be close to goal to flourish, running from own half to counter is not working that much. But at same time, when we have a possesion droping 40m away from oposition goal and doing sideway passes, standing still after passes are made, also not working best for us. Positional and tactical awarness are not his strongest suit. In 3-5-2 he was very good, with Vlahovic it could be good partnership in such formation. Like Lautaro and Lukaku last year. Cuadrado wing back, perfect, put on left anyone except that unfit lolzilian.
So who to blame, Allegri or the player. For me blame is on both, Dybala has his limits and menager should be aware of them. Play to his strength or dont play him. Simple as that. We let go Baggio and Zidane and didn't cry about that. Either something works or not. Regardless of the name, quality...

Many will disagree but IMO it's time to move on - with or without him we badly need creative winger(s) anyway and somehow the club has to fund it.

I was always of opinion that Dybala restricts his team to play either 352 or 442/4231. Scratch that, today I'd say that he can work well only in 352, due to his athleticism or rather the lack of it. Especially, when seeing how the game is becoming more and more physical, where even in Serie A the refs don't whistle the cheap fouls anymore (has anyone noticed?).

If Allegri is interested in building his squad for 433, we can't play two makeshift wingers like Dybala and Morata in every game. Get me actual wingers to support Dusan + some creativity from the midfield would be nice.
We just need one, we have Chiesa already.

Maybe Ake is it.

On a serious note - when was the last time there was a player that aged and got less injury prone with age? Ever?
The first player that comes to mind is Pirlo.... i remember being amazed how he managed to play so much for us... But Conte is Conte, he creates beasts.

This is really the only correct solution, I think. One top B2B with freedom to go forward and a couple wingers.

What was that song... That Bocelli sings:
Time to say goodbye.

Sent from my ...
Probably the most common song played at funerals these days.

Does anyone else think the 10 days recovery is going to be a lot more? History tells us it will.

ADP went through a spell of injuries missing key games but we had squads that were 5 levels above this team and we had depth. The complete to this team. No dybala, and chiesa for that matter does rape us in that final third.

Great news is that we will move him on and bring in Zaniolo, much less injury prone and reliable. ;)

Hand over the armband
This.

Can't believe all the shit he gets on this forum; Although he's injured a lot who on our team beats his stats?!?; 7+5 in 20 league, 3+1 in 4 ucl matches!?
Oh and did you see our absolutely no existent offense play vs. Torino after he was subbed!?
because when we need him he isn’t around. He does well against shitty teams and everyone loses their minds. But when we are barely hanging on to fourth and our final push for CL is days away he is injured.

To who though? Bonucci? No thanks
Honestly - MDL, Bonucci, chiesa when back. Not hard to find a better candidate. You don’t have to like the player but the armband needs to go to a no nonsense player.

Our philosophy to give the armband to whoever has been around the longest is retarded. Should be the player that gives their all on the field, is reliable and others respect.

Fair enough, I just don't think Bonucci deserves that honour though, not after the year he left for Milan. MDL and Chiesa are still a bit young I'd say, but ideally it goes to MDL sometime in the future, albeit if he stays.

you play 8 matches against atalanta, inter, milan, napoli per season in the league.

you play 30 against the other shity teams. you need players to show up to those shitty teams other wise like YOU said, we would barely hang on to fourth.

and YOU mention shitty teams but the rest of the squad doesn't show up against those shitty teams. not chiellini. no cuadrado, no de ligt. no vlahovic, not chiesa, not locatelli, and definitely never allegri. so what does that tell you that they don't show up but like YOU said dybala does?

Not to mention Del Piero literally scorched earth when fit (especilly in his prime).

Dybala? Lol
