Are we struggling for the top four because of January form?
We are struggling with a top 4 finish because our vice captain was recovering from one of many injuries and not leading the team.

Now he is. For your health, lets hope he manages to keep it up now that we have a leader leading the line since Chiesa dropped.

we were struggling because our midfield doesn't score or create goals, nor does Morata or Kean

add to that a psychologically fragile squad after two years of Tici approved coaching choices.

Where are you getting these numbers? Your imaginary friends at the Juventus accounting office? The offer is 8 million basic salary (16 million gross). I say offer him a 3+1 deal.

somewhat reliable sources stated that he agreed the 8m net + bonus, but let's keep repeating any other bullshit.

also, 15m net would be ~26m gross, but that's 30m gross for the woke bunch who are too lazy to look up italian tax rules or check the financial thread for references we post on a regular basis. anyway, great thread.

All very reliable sources indeed :baus:
Agnelli basically confirmed this:

"I know he has already received a proposal that would put him among the top twenty most paid players in Europe,” the Old Lady’s president said during the Golden Boy award on Monday.
“We’re looking forward to his response, the most important thing is to see his answer on the pitch. We all want him to be one of the top five players in Europe, he’s still not among them and he is aware of it."

He wants to be paid like a top 5 player in the world = 30 mill gross
You don't have to be very intelligent to understand what Agnelli is actually trying to say here...

English report gross salaries, anywhere else its net. So 15m is gross.
He is currently earning 15 mill gross ffs.. :sergio:

Most have reported 8+2, this morning news came out regarding an agent commission around 4m or 5m EUR. If its a one time payment (fingers crossed), then over 5 years, its basically 8+2+1=11m / season.

yeah, that's in the tweet i posted earlier this morning. you can't aggregate wages and agent fees though, those are completely different services. 1m agent fee is a 1m cost, 1m salary is ~1.75m cost (~1.3m with tax benefit).

anyway, that 30m is pure delusion, ffs he already agreed a much lower sum, absolutely no need to stir shit, but the loud minority is called loud for a reason.

Tak!

Shame he finally plays in the role I always wanted him to be in, and then he leaves. I hope he stays and Gravenberg comes, we'll look really good then
