Of course you are loving this. Let's be honest. You wanted him out last year.
Not after he turned it around last season. I will be honest, if Max had stayed, yeah, it would have been best to cut ties since Max was a big reason why his performance dropped. I really do want to see how he does under Pirlo, I think that's fair given how well he did last season. Its not like I'm secretly happy COVID threw a grenade in the clubs finances. Come on man.

I'm sorry if I don't get super emotional over players.

It doesn't hurt to get emotional over certain players, you know. Especially the types of players that can conjure up moments that make you love the game. Those are few and far between, especially on this club. Those are special types of players, and you try to hold on to them. But again, it's very telling that the club is doing absolutely nothing to dissuade any of these rumors. Same shit as last year. This time it's about money.

I'll put it this way. It might sting for a day or two, but I get over more quickly than others. I miss the Del Pieros, Trez, Marchios, was sad when Buffon left, but I get over it really quickly. I don't know why.

Per the club striking down rumors, when have we ever really did that for anyone? I can't recall, doesn't seem to be their thing they rather keep it all internal which is odd b/c this shit always ALWAYS makes it to the media.

Its like they are operating in a box but they don't know the box is clear and the entire world can see everything LOL

The major difference in Dybala and the players you mentioned is that they were all at, or near the end of the line. Dybala is just hitting his prime, and like the aforementioned players, has been a model citizen, and has profoundly expressed his love for this club.

He could be this generation's Del Piero for us, and why on earth would we want to let that go? Because of money? There isn't anyone out there that we could remotely replace him with that would be attainable. Let's say we get Isco and 50 million for him. What do we do with 50 million? We certainly can't get someone to replace Dybala. So where does it go? We would literally be leaving Ronaldo with no one else upfront with him. Another Midfielder? Great. Then opposing defenses will put 2 men on Ronaldo, and take their chances everywhere else, and mind you, we don't have the midfielders that could score from anywhere on the pitch like we did with Vidal and Pogba. There is no legitimate scoring threat from the midfield as things currently stand.

By the way the media are talking we are the only ones that lost money from Covid.
We can't buy anyone that is too expensive and need to sell Dybala but the other teams can buy without selling anyone.
Of course every team is suffering. But it won't be the same for every team.
And the reality is that our financial situation wasn't exactly rosy to begin with.

Our wage structure simply is't sustainable. Not even in normal circumstances, let alone in crisis moments.

Agree with the first part, other than the couple outbursts with Max, he always seems in good character. His skin is getting thicker I think.

I hear you on everything else. I am wondering if COVID really did knife our kidneys and we are bleeding out trying to find a way to stop the bleeding. You'd think there would be a mad rush to clear out everyone else that sucks first.

I'm old school. Soon to be 51 years old. I had the great luck of being around in the days of the 90's milan squads, the Baggio's, the Romario's, etc..... The Seven Sisters of Serie A. You name it. Going to see matches at the 94 World Cup was like going to see an All-star game every time out. All of those players were incredibly unique in what they could do, so yes, I'm a bit of a romantic when I see a player like Paulo that has the ability to bring back those types of memories.

So, yes, my heart is doing all of the thinking here, but I'm totally cool with that.
