whether it's Sarri or someone else, I'd like to keep Dybala and see how he works out in a new environment.

even if for purely financial reasons - to sell him for the right price. look at Pogba under Mou and Ole, once Solskjaer came with more freedom, Pogs goal and assist numbers went through the roof. he started the season with 5g4a (which is decent for an AM) until Mou was sacked before Christmas, then Pogba under Ole reached 5g4a in 6 games lol. if Mou had finished the season and Paul didn't have that rainbow patch, United would be asking for much less money.

I can understand sacrificing him but Icardi isn't an adequate replacement IMO.

Dybala is a freak. He just needs to be near the goals more often. Sarri would likely waste him on the wing though unfortunately. Will be sad to see him go because he'll be top, top striker wherever he ends up.

Not too sure about that. if we look at both his Chelsea and Napoli they lined up with:

1. A left sided inside forward who plays closer to the striker (a LW with a free role - Insigne / Hazard)
2. A CF
3. A wide forward who stays near the touch line (Callejon / Pedro-Willian)

A player with Dybala's trademarks usually played as a CF in his system.

So Ronny as that inside LW then. I like it but apparently all the combinations have been tried Dyabala and Ronny don't work together . Allegri, flexible a tactician though he was, rarely attempted and never really pulled off the false 9.

Martens is quicker and he looks more resilient. His first touch is better as well.

No, Romário was a freak. Dybala is a good player with great potential that was never reached and as much as I wanted to believe otherwise I don’t think it ever will.

Actually I think Sarri will do a Mertens with Dybala and play him as false 9/more central position where he always performed.

But either way, selling Dybala is understandable as we can get a lot of money for him, but with Icardi involved it is not a good trade imo.

I dint think sarri will get the chance...before he arrives i think dybala and cancelo will be out the door.

Nonetheless Dybala has had one poor season...along with most others at the club. I just wonder whether the club is knee jerking at the prospect of using him to get others like pogba who hasn't exactly lot the world on fire last season either.

All in all I'm happy for the club to sell some big names to hit the reset button under a new coach and new era. Seen it happen before and it worked so let's not judge until the transfer season is finished.
