different players. vlahovic is a pure 9 and our potential morata replacement.

i'm still not sure we have to offer dybala a 5-year contract. i like him as a player and with a low book value he won't be too expensive either, but his injuries post covid are a genuine concern, regardless of vlahovic.
You change the system without Dybala here. Simple as that. If we go balls deep for Valhovic and manage to get a creative mid with characteristics similar to Luis Alberto/Pogba then you can field a classic 433 IMO. Chiesa + Kulu/Cuadrado on the wings in attack, midfield would be a creative mid + Locatelli + water carrier like McKennie or even Bentancur. Or that Zakaria guy, whatever.

Dybala is difficult to replace and we need a replacement because he's too fragile these days.

Technically it's a 4-year and a half contract. When his contract expires in June 2026 he'll be 32. I think it's a good timing.

I actually like 4-3-3 a lot, Dybala can't be in it, but the second best thing will be 4-2-3-1 which with the right players can be even more menacing than 4-3-3. Dybala in partnership with a goalscorer can be very decent, I remember him playing well with Higuain and for a short period of time he formed a good partnership with CR7. Right now there are not a lot of quality SS/AMC and he offers us that.

I'll be fine if the management decides to offload him and go for 4-3-3, but I don't mind him staying. This season he is doing well - 17 games, 8 goals, 4 assists. With a prolific goalscorer next to him he'll do even better.

I think that extending him is the wiser idea. If the rumors are true we will be paying him just 1mln net extra which is not going to make a difference for us. Then, it's enough for him to have a decent half-season for some club to appear with a 40-50mln offer.

10m salary without the tax advantage for foreigners is expensive though, no? Over 5 years it costs the club ~90m with taxes.
F.e. Locatelli, our big signing last year, was signed for 25m + 12.5m in bonuses + 3m salary, which over a 5 year period with all the bonuses activated is ~65m, significantly less. I'd prefer if we made more signings like this one instead of handing out big salaries to older players like Dybala or Icardi. F.e. the Jonathan David kid of Lille looks promising.

all depends on whether he can stay fit or remains sidelined for half of the season. if he's fit then i consider it reasonable.

dybala old? i thought he was a young promising player :p

We have 3 flair players: Chiesa, Cuadrado and Dybala. As much as you can make a functioning and hard-working team, you need some flair somewhere. Replace Morata with Vlahovic but Dybala needs a different type of replacement, a different type of skillset which is hard to find for cheap. Also, it's not all about the stats because when he plays, he links the midfield to the attack so although a Papu Gomez or Luis Alberto would be a downgrade, they would offer us something useful in our play. Without Dybala it looks like we really struggle to create anything.

The issue is that Locatelli wont make that in just a year or two. He will be pushed up once he becomes a staple of the team

Paulo #Dybala during an interview with Junior Reporter:

"My letter to Santa? My list is always long. On football, I hope that Santa can bring the Champion's League to #Juventus. [...] dreaming is free." ⚪️⚫️

Covid fucked him hard.
His injury record before that was actually really good.
I'm good with his Covid and injuries happen but this is not normal.

That Jan 11/April 1 "medial collateral ligament injury" is what worries me.
Ligament injury can linger its tricky..I got a suspicion its not fully healed I think our docs might have fucked up in diagnosis or treating him or giving him bill of health too soon or he simply didn't rehab correctly and it keeps coming back only they call it something different like " fatigue".

Everything to you is so black and white. Once again I'm in awe of your fanhood.
What a bullshit take once again.

But coming back to you, you simply hate the man ever since. Just be honest about it. It's not like it isn't plain obvious anyway to anyone who's familiar with your posting history.

Your posts have nothing to do with honest criticism we can see from other users, it's just hatred and you know it.

Why pretend otherwise?

Well, that's the whole issue right there, isn't it?

Honestly, I don't know why you take everything I say about the guy so personally. Even if I did hate Allegri, who cares? This emotional attachment, along with how you place everyone into various labels in an attempt to demonize them, makes you look like an SJW. And it's really not a good look for you, or anyone for that matter.

That haters talk is just silly if the forum is like 50-50 when it comes to sell or not.

Like it's 50% fanbois vs. 50% haters...

You don't need to hate him to list reasons why you don't want him to renew, and there are plenty.
Having reasonable doubt due to his health and inconsistent output past few years is one thing. Many have expressed that and its really understandable. Tho right now its only health, since he is CLEARLY our best currently.

But there are CLEAR bona-fide haters on Dybala, that super over the top spam post like they frotting at the mouth for any opportunity to pounce ,in a way its bizzare they are truly Juve fans when they so actively against a Juve player. Let alone its captain.

Reading any Dybala related post from Hustini, Lancelot, Hydde and few others is like a who's who of the player haters ball, sponsored by haterade flavoured toxic kool aid, in the nation of hateration.

Oh please. He’s got so little flack compared to Marchisio, Bonucci or other Italian players on this forum. I haven’t been following much in here for a long time, but you and I know for sure that if Dybala were Italian, most people here would dislike him.
