There’s no way he could be any worse than Bernadeschi on that RW. It’s true that he isn’t suited to that role but he’d at the least offer more in terms of smart play and decision making than the brainless Berna.

Watching that video makes me realise how much we miss an inform Dybala.

His ability to run and take on players and create is what we miss.

Agree on the 4-3-1-2. Dybala in a SS role next to ronaldo. I think an inform Ramsey behind playing behind the forwards would be the best option. But I also think bentancur as the DM works best. I prefer Pjanic in a B2B role on the right with rabiot on the left.

Costa throws a spanner in the works when he returns but for now i think the above gives us a solid midfield that has enough versatility.
Does Sarri change tactics? Ever?

If we’re dead set on this 4-3-3 than sadly he needs to go, there is no room for him. It’s clear Sarri will continue with Higuain so might as well cash in and then search for a young ST.

The only reason he wasnt sold in the summer is because we didnt recieve any decent offer. Decent offer would have been 50-60m. Another poor season here and the most we could do I recon is loan him, with some kind of option/obligation.

But I was told Dybala would be Sarri’s favourite and he would set the world on fire with 40+ goals and be a Ballon d’Or finalist... it was only Allegri holding him back... What happened?

We should definitely go with 4312. :agree:

Btw, fuck Costa. Useless glassman!

Lol indeed... Im sorry for him, but I dont think this will work. He isnt a good fit atm and his confidence is taking a hit. Change of scenary might help. Allegri actually found a good role for him in 4-2-3-1 but that formation required 2 hard working wingers and Khedira & Pjanic having the season of their lives.

And I cant see Sarri trying any other formation than 433, unless everything goes horribly wrong. Thats what I like about Max, his thinkering, reading the game and adapting to opponent.

Well, if CR7 hadn't come here last Summer we'd still be playing 442 I believe. Higuain - Dybala as the starters obviously.
Sure, the 4231 had its own problems too but you don't bench/push out of the club your highest paid forwards who more or less delivered. CR7's changed everything and if someone couldn't adapt then he'd fall behind which happened to Dybala.

Higuain and Ronaldo get really isolated up top, with the zoo that is our midfield unable to bring the ball up i don't see how Dybala fixes the situation sadly, Higuain was always more eager to drop deep to collect the ball than Dybala, even when Dybala was playing as a ss,, 4-3-1-2 is the only way i see him fitting in but I don't see us switching.

He will get his chances simply because of Higuain who can't play every 3 days. The problem is whether he can adapt, the skill set is there but it's all about head with him right now.
