While we are at it, imagine someone told you Pjanic would play in that position for us.

You'd probably ROFLMAOed that peasant.
The funny thing here is the fact Pjanic suits this role much more than Pogba and it's only due to attitude of both players. Pogba wants to be the start, always to steal the show. Pjanic accepted the role and works much better than I expected.

Pogba is not disciplined enough for the role IMO. Physically he's perfect for it, ability is there too but the head is not ready for it.

@Red @Osman

Your opinion on whether Pogba could fit into a 4-2-3-1 as one of the two central midfielders ? CAM is not up for debate.
Thanks for quoting @Red and me in 2013, where we predicted the formation that Juventus would play in the CL final. except that Pirlo was still here so no swapping, and LLorente had been replaced by Morata

My favorite formation has always been 4-2-3-1. The 41311RED was what Red and I believed to be the best formation given the players we had, and we were right.

The reason i asked Red and Osman the question above, is because Pogba + no wings was the reason we couldnt play 4231. With wings and Pogba, can we ? Probably not, but i'd like to know what they think.

Pogs in a doble pívot is a waste like france showed but Pjanic in that position It also sound bizarre IMO and so far is working amazing so I don't know... The Key I think is the commitment everyone is showing in defense and attack and Pogs could cover a lot of spare so...

This wasn't a dig or anything, you couldn't even tolerate anyone mentionning another formation. And this even if it was apparent we didn't have the tools to play it appropriately

I think the dancing is totally fine. Posting it on social media makes you look like a teenage girl though.
True, as Rio said, nothing wrong with having fun privately, but why share it when you arent doing well with your team, it just makes you look silly.

The days we had the luxury to say no to Verratti because of Pirlo, Pogba, Vidal and Marchisio and no room for a 5th top CM

So Osman, how do you think Pogba would do in our 4231 we are trying now ?

If he is playing with a DM and gets to move up and attack more freely, he can do well, and his insane physical and defensive contribution would ad much balance.

But to have the strict holding role next to a player like Pjanic? Nah, see France for why. Not tactically and mentally equip for such a role at all.

Do you think Allegri would find the balance the make the first one work ?

He can, but I don't think it'd be the best thing for either him or his team.

I'm not seeing anything to suggest Juve didn't make best use of him - side of a three-man midfield where he has a lot of freedom to drive forward.

Seen him play plenty different roles for Man Utd and France and he's a good enough player that he can sort of do all of them, but nothing as good as what he was in his role at Juve.
