It works like this: Individuals pay income tax (10% flat), dividend tax (5%) or capital gains tax (10%, except for profits on the Bulgarian stock exchange when it's 0%). Limited liability companies pay corporate tax of 10% on the profit. Sale of assets for a gain constitutes a profit and gets taxed if there is an overall profit.

It still functions as a chargeable gains tax on profit made from Sales of assets, and from every source I can find is 20% in the UK.

juventus will be charged a 20% tax on the chargeable gains of Pogba's sale. If we invest as well and end up losing money this year to offset that gain, that 20% will come out in tax allowances and relief. We still don't get to count Pogba's individual sale as net 105 mil to the positive, because we are having to use tax reliefs and allowances to offset those 20 mil of corporate taxes.

Pogba's sale looked at alone has a net positive of 72 mil because of the chargeable gains tax of approx. 20 mil, and then solidarity subsidy of around 3-4 mil, and agent commission of around 7-8 mil.

In the case of Pogba and Italy I have no clue how it works. About the UK, the real distinction between the two taxes is this: Suppose you gain 10m for sale of an asset, but lose 10m from normal operations. How much do you pay in taxes? If it's like you say, then you will pay taxes on the 10m. If it's like I say, you will pay 0 in corporate tax.
