Pogba earns 4.5M net at the moment. No way United will give him 13.5M net salary, 7-8M tops, which is what he would get here if he extended his contract
I'm asking on a personal level. Would you be honestly turning it down?

Best case scenario. United win the league, next year they're in the CL. Pogba does well throughout. He would have a better chance at ballon d'or with a more hyped team in Utd. All with a truckload of money delivered to your home constantly.

He has to count on him playing well and United doing well. No good can from doubting your own abilities.

Guy is on the up and up. If we keep him this year, it'll be the same shit next year and the year after etc etc

Or he can lead this already Champions-League favorite team with a truckload of money and the #10

Alot more attention in EPL is viable reason, but if money wasnt so much better for him in United he wouldnt even consider to leave us for them. There is so much that can go wrong or hamper him that its a huge decision for him to make, foregoing chance to go for CL, restarting your process of finding a role and team you fit in, all this sacrificed for more attention? Nah the huge salary must be there to, as in huge enough that Juve wouldnt give it to him. And not just the one we are giving to Higauin.
i dont think his salary is a problem. according to this - http://www.totalsportek.com/money/footballers-with-highest-salary/ - if United does offer him 13M net, he would be the 3rd highest paid player in the world right behind Messi and Ronaldo (no idea how much Neymars new contact is worth, so maybe 4th highest paid). i doubt its that much and i think ours and Uniteds offer arent that far away. what i do think is that it has more to do with what you and Quetzalcoatl said - the EPL is the most watched and marketed league in football, he will get more exposure, better sponsorship deals (more off field income) will be more recognizable and will be able to build his brand easier there (even though i think he doesent need the EPL for that but whatever). his only problem is, if Mourinho plays him in a 2 man midfield, he will probably not develop into the player he would here, and would waste 2-3 years of his career before going to Madrid. add to that the pressure of being the highest paid player ever, and thats burden enough for a 23 year old, so he might underperform there. as him developing his game further plays the key part in him building himself into the next superstar of football, he will probably not reach the levels i was hoping he would. a shame really

Everything looks good in a best case scenario. Pogba is leaving a place where he was taken care of to a pressure cooker hellhole with 2 gigantic egos who will most certainly clash. He is not mature enough imo skill is there, mental strength not there yet

I'm just playing devils advocate for the sake of discussion.

If he leaves, he's a fucking prick.

Its ridicolous to think Pogba can simply be replaced by Pjanic, not only is skill level higher, but he is so damn complete as a player, which is why I said third, because his strenght, defensive ability and sheer powerful dynamicism is quality we will miss big time (his only weakness is mental aspect/tactical maturity). A soft physically weak technical playmaker isnt all it takes to replace him.
