How many of you would turn down 3 times your current salary to move to a competitor, who happens to be behind in the market to your current job, with a guarantee on the contract for 5 years?
That logic doesn't apply since most of us are not rich. I bet Bayern have proposed Reus to double his salary and he still said no, that's an admirable and loyal player.

I was one of the firm believers Pogba would stay, but that hope has faded away. He is 100% gone. I hate this saga so much I just want it to be over.

We get Higuain+Pjanic for Pogba basically. Yes, a downgrade for our midfield but a MASSIVE upgrade for our attack.
Considering that we lost Morata in the attack on the way then it does not become that of a massive upgrade. If we lose Mandzukic as well then things would start to look different.

How about this, we upgrade our attack WITHOUT downgrading a midfield that has slowly been downgraded past year anyways. Why should it be connected to the attack, the purpose is to improve the team....it still remains we sell our best midfielder for 2nd year straight, ridicolous...

We could have upgraded our attack and kept Pogba imo
That would have been ideal.

Yet, here we are.

I agree, that would have been better.

This is friggin worse, we are losing a 23 year old that has potential to become an all time great midfielder. Zidane was 24 when we got him and we sold him at his height at 29, Pogba isnt even at his height yet and could been amazing for us for so many years. Defenitely harder pill to swallow for me, and I say this in comparison to Zidane who is the most breaktaking player one could have the pleasure of seeing on a pitch.
Yup.

We definitely won't drop off in quality right now imo, not with the guys coming in this summer, but the future that could've been...

Still not that sad, mainly because I knew this was coming for years now.

Pogba earns 4.5M net at the moment. No way United will give him 13.5M net salary, 7-8M tops, which is what he would get here if he extended his contract

Nah BS, he is gonna get bigger salary with them, its litterally the upside of this whole thing, considering he is taking a step back on a footballing level and title aspirations level. With alot more massive pressure by going to United that will unsettle him compared to nicely fit role and status he has with us (not to mention Pogba is still young, work in progress, Mourinho not nurturing type whatsoever). So yeah, DEFENITELY not getting a salary he was about to get here anyways, makes no sense.

More money, and a much more attractive league (Even if the football is shit)

Partly because of the terribly marketed joke of a league we find ourselves in, we struggle to keep a player happy despite offering them so much success.

Stop crying, you pussy. If you're surprised he's leaving, you should get your head out of your ass. We all knew he was going to leave. If he goes to United, it just shows that some of us were right, when we said he's nothing but a ghettoboy who can't handle his money.

At least I don't have to look at his stupid dabbing and off field antics.
And his uglyass choices in clothing.

It's about money but it's probably also about the stardom. Pogba is the kind of guy who wants the spotlight, and there's no better place to get that except Real
Alot more attention in EPL is viable reason, but if money wasnt so much better for him in United he wouldnt even consider to leave us for them. There is so much that can go wrong or hamper him that its a huge decision for him to make, foregoing chance to go for CL, restarting your process of finding a role and team you fit in, all this sacrificed for more attention? Nah the huge salary must be there to, as in huge enough that Juve wouldnt give it to him. And not just the one we are giving to Higauin.

Perfect spotlight for his dabs and haircuts.
Lol pretty much. More hanging with NBA players and other celebs now too.

Watch his FB likes go through the roof once he signs

Well it's both I think. We can probably afford to pay him what he'll get with United
