Except that after Vidal we're losing another top player and no one can guarantee that the likes of Dybala or Sandro wouldn't be next.

Nah. The investments put into Dybala and Sandro mean they are far less likely to be sold eventually. The club will do everything it can to keep those two.

I honestly think the fact we got Pogba for free and the fact this will end up being 100+ mil profit has always been part of the reason we are likely to sell Pogba. I also think the club has never really considered Pogba the player they want to build this team around for the long term. I think they have long viewed him as a player that will eventually be sold on in order to really finish building Juventus back into a European giant. While it may seem counterintuitive in a way, it makes sense to me. I see us using a Pogba sale to do the same thing we did with Zidane... finish building a team that will be at or near the top of Europe for years to come (which would have happened without calciopoli)...

The thing is, if we sell Pogba and improve this team enough to spend the next 2-3 years or so at CL semis or better, and hopefully win one, that will make players far more likely to stay with us long-term and see us as a final destination, than insisting on keeping Pogba this summer could ever do.

You have to also consider that his transfer away would likely be even more high-profile next summer were it to happen. Either way it's a win for us in my opinion. We are building a dominant force, and a sustainable project á la Bayern.

I think the club has done everything to try to keep Pogba, but we operate by "if a players wants to leave"... Thus I can see the same with Dybala if not next year then the year after. What Bayern did with Ribery (when he wanted to leave for Real, they didn't bugde and he conceded) is what we should have done here. I don't think we just accepted his decision, there were prolly months of talks. But sometimes you need to take a hard line approach. We have the upper hand here, considering duration of his contract.

Paul Pogba will reportedly break the world transfer record if he moves from Juventus to Manchester United.

The English side have been pursuing the French midfielder all summer, and reportedly made a first offer of €101m, which the Bianconeri rejected.

However, with today’s sports newspapers reporting that Pogba has informed the club that he wants to leave, the transfer is now a possibility.

Today’s La Stampa, which is owned by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, the car company controlled by the Agnelli family, says a deal between the two clubs is close, and will be a world record fee.

The newspaper believes an agreement is likely to be found for €120m [£101m], not inclusive of agent Mino Raiola’s fee.

That would see Pogba’s fee exceed that of current record-holder Gareth Bale, who cost Real Madrid €100.8m when he moved from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013.

That doesn't matter for me. We have a history of selling profiles at the right time. The DNA of juve has always been on the team, rather than the individual top players.

We were regarded as one of the best teams in the world when we had Iuliano, Pessotto, Conte, Ferrara and Tachinardi in our starting eleven. I am not saying they were bad players, but they were never regarded as top-notch profiles and weren't even regular starters for the national team. However, together they formed a unit at juve which was regarded as one of the best in our history.

tbh I never expected him to leave to Man U. I always thought he'd leave for Real or Psg only. It's a really wierd decision if true. Why go back to the club that didn't believe in you, that is not even playing in the CL, while your still very young and your with a very ambitious team going for the CL ?

Did he not ask for it? That makes it a little different.

TO be quite honest, I've never had the feeling that the club meant to build itself around Pogba. Nor did I think Pogba ever seemed to suggest he would stay here long-term. It was nice to joke around about it... but Pogba always seemed to be on borrowed-time here.

Dybala seems different. The outlay to get him, the faith the club showed with spending more on him than any player in recent times, as a 21 year old. Dybala really does seem the face of the franchise for the post-Gigi era. And I think he'll be much happier with that than Pogba. Especially if we continue to grow and build a European powerhouse over the next few years.

I honestly think there is a huge difference with Pogba and Dybala and how the club sees them, and our managements willingness to sell them. I'd bet we do pull a Bayern-Ribery with Dybala if it comes to it, but I think Dybala is much more likely to stay here, and be happy to do so, as long as we continue to succeed, and challenge on all fronts.

Thats how you act and keep your best players.Juventus should not supose to be some charity organisation where you ask to leave and your wishes come true right away.
