TO be quite honest, I've never had the feeling that the club meant to build itself around Pogba. Nor did I think Pogba ever seemed to suggest he would stay here long-term. It was nice to joke around about it... but Pogba always seemed to be on borrowed-time here.

Dybala seems different. The outlay to get him, the faith the club showed with spending more on him than any player in recent times, as a 21 year old. Dybala really does seem the face of the franchise for the post-Gigi era. And I think he'll be much happier with that than Pogba. Especially if we continue to grow and build a European powerhouse over the next few years.

I honestly think there is a huge difference with Pogba and Dybala and how the club sees them, and our managements willingness to sell them. I'd bet we do pull a Bayern-Ribery with Dybala if it comes to it, but I think Dybala is much more likely to stay here, and be happy to do so, as long as we continue to succeed, and challenge on all fronts.

For me , i only see one guarantee with Juventus at the moment and that is Italian players would stay with us long term even if they're receiving more money elsewhere.

tbh I never expected him to leave to Man U. I always thought he'd leave for Real or Psg only. It's a really wierd decision if true. Why go back to the club that didn't believe in you, that is not even playing in the CL, while your still very young and your with a very ambitious team going for the CL ?

True but Man U is among top 3 richest clubs in the world. They dont even care if De Gea sits out another year unhappy because they dont need the money. Juventus revenue stream is lower compared to these clubs. At this point, they'd definitely strongly consider offers above 100M and one that is coming for a midfielder.

I think the club has done everything to try to keep Pogba, but we operate by "if a players wants to leave"... Thus I can see the same with Dybala if not next year then the year after. What Bayern did with Ribery (when he wanted to leave for Real, they didn't bugde and he conceded) is what we should have done here. I don't think we just accepted his decision, there were prolly months of talks. But sometimes you need to take a hard line approach. We have the upper hand here, considering duration of his contract.

Bayern back then couldn't match Real's offer, but Ribery had contract and they forced him to respect it.

I doubt we can't offer Pogba close to what United have. The difference in overall salary bill between the clubs isn't that great.

We should just offer him a contract extension at a salary of 8 million net per annum + other bonuses. I highly doubt the 15 million + 5 million in image rights being reported. Those are ridiculous figures, and would make him the highest paid footballer in the UK, and possibly only behind Messi and Ronaldo in the total wages bracket. I am guessing United might be offering 10 million net + various bonuses, which is very plausible, but if we can counter that with an 8 million net salary and a 200 million release clause (hey, if Barca can do it, no shame in us trying to deploy the same tactic as well), he is staying, fat shitcunt Raiola or not.

Arsenal are a 500M revenue club now despite being tagged a 'selling club' for years. These are not easy times for the club because of the state of the league. It's holding us back. The mere reason we're forced to sell Pogba is because of wages we cant afford to give to a single player.

And we've sold superstars in the past and still remained relevant. What are you on about ? Now if we received all the money for Pogba and re-invest like Liverpool buying 10 young players, then you may have a point otherwise no.

We lost Pirlo, Tevez, and Vidal last season, not to mention Coman as well. If we lose Pogba, in addition to the losses of both Cuadrado, and more significantly Morata this season, then we are setting a very very dangerous precedent.

You don't remain competitive and relevant by selling your top players and star performers. We may very well continue to dominate Serie A, but fuck that. It is about time we cemented our position in Europe, and selling Pogba is a giant step in the wrong direction.
