In the words of a true muppet, United have a massive season ahead of them. Last chance to get back to the top with Mou. He is the best option for winning, at least in the short term, but if he fails I can see Man U being mediocre for the next 5 years. And then the financial juggernaut might come crashing down.
It's gonna be Champions League or bust for them soon. They are in a strong financial position right now, but could become the next Milan if they are too cavalier with their spending.

Sadly no pl clubs will be capable to sink as low as milanese clubs, their brand image is so big that even if they were to be demoted to 3rd division they will still get much money to come back

Indeed. Liverpool are still surviving without winning their domestic league for centuries and buying fuckwits like Andy Carroll for a gazillion dollars. Unlike the dumb Italians they know they need to market their league to keep the money flowing and don't stab each other in the back.

Joe Allen was abysmal against Portugal. In fact he shouldn't have gotten near any team of the tournaments based on that game alone.
He was only in the team because there was far less expectation for him to perform than Pogba even if Pogba was progressively better as the tournament went on. Allen was out of his depth in at least half the Wales matches including the game against England and portugal
