that might hit di culo's reputation quite a bit:

pogba's mom: "my son will continue to play for juve. he decided together with nedved and he told raiola about it. these numbers are not true, and they are just a way to distract my son. paul wants to win with juve to whom he's greatful for everything. i assure you, he'll continue to play at juventus, that's everybody's will, including us, the club, my son and the fans."

Nobody can really prove those words came out of his mom's mouth though, can they?

And you'd be wrong.

This is not just about skills and contribution on the pitch, but he's immensely popular athlete and we have genuine opportunity here to gain more worldwide exposure, lure them plastic fans into following us, attract better sponsors... Pretty soon he's gonna dethrone the likes of Ronaldo and Messi from the pedestal. Pogba and Dybala shouldn't be on the market, no matter the price.
I take that into account. In terms of football alone Pogba isn't worth more than 60m. But I am sure that with 100 or 120m extra money to spend we will become stronger and have a better chance of winning the CL. And winning the CL is what can increase our popularity a lot more than Pogba.

Also, Pogba becoming more popular than Messi and Ronaldo can only happen if he goes to Barca/Real or if he stays and we win the CL. Or if he goes to Manure and they have a renaissance. Even in those scenarios it's by no means certain.

The team is almost complete and as of now we're looking like one of the strongest units in Europe, legitimate CL contender for the next season. Every area of the team is filled with world class players, so I don't see how we could improve further, but if we're to sell Pogba we'd definitely look weaker and would need another top midfielder.

In any case Juve wouldn't spend 120m on the market, since between amortization costs and salaries that top players would require our expenditure would rise above acceptable level, considering our income. Right now Pogba is costing us approx 9m per season, but if we are to invest 120m for let's say 3 top players on 5 years of contract with average salary of 7m gross, that operation would cost us 45m per season.

Also, Pogba becoming more popular than Messi and Ronaldo can only happen if he goes to Barca/Real or if he stays and we win the CL. Or if he goes to Manure and they have a renaissance. Even in those scenarios it's by no means certain.
That's the idea I think.

il nuevo mama trezeguet :touched:

She'll be rooting at the top of the stadium when her son scores the opening goal at 15 minute against Madrid, a volley like Zidane in the finals.
After bossing the midfield against manu in semis. He should get her one of these
