Nah, those are not the same at all. In Neymar's case, his father is also his agent and business manager so he had some incentive to fabricate some lies to get a better contract for his son.
But I tend to give more weight to what normal family members, like Pogba's father, say. Because they're not as calculative in their comments and there's always some truth that slips out.
