You just proved my point that it's a knife in the back. It's not a matter of money, Pogba knows he can double his salary elsewhere, easily. Truth is it would feel like betrayal if he was to leave now after all we've done for him.

We gave him a shirt that translates to "here, you're the face of Juventus now, we believe in you and that you're ready to take on the responsability that's being that guy. Make us proud." Leaving now It'd be just bad timing imo.

I would have no problem with him leaving 2 seasons from now but i dislike the way he made it sound, like it's up for grabs next season and only 3 weeks into the season. It's disrespectful, but then I'm old school and will never get used to players just doing the $#@! they want and wiping the floor they walk on with the clubs they once played for. Maybe there lies the problem.

That's why you want to sign the best Italian players that are out there. Italians value those things much more than foreigners because they are the kids that grow up dreaming of Juve's shirt (#10 especially ). Usually it's enough for them to play for the best Italian club and that way they stay loyal. As things stand we really need to fix that, we can't afford rebuilding the squad every year or two because core players leave. People may laugh or hate but right now our core is built from players like Marchisio, Chiellini and Bonucci. With Pogba all you know is that he's staying this year. That's not enough.

If we sell Pogba we should reinvest it into Verratti. As Italian club you always want players like Verratti, Darmian and Berardi to play for your club, especially in our situation. If you're on the same level as Barca/Mardid/Bayern you're capable of keeping foreigners for years but that's not the case with us yet.

REALLY? Kid is exceptional defensively for such a small player who is creative. Tough as heck and tackles/defends plenty, and does it well consistently (bit too reckless too). Kid is frigging vicious little warrior and loves to tackle and commit to defending alot more then your typical technical/creative players like him usually do. More of an asset then weakness there, and like 3 times better defensively then Pirlo.

Tbh Verratti is the only player worth mentioning. I'll hold my judgment about Berardi until he plays for a bigger team and Darmian is okay but not special.

So it's not like Juventus can count on Italian players anymore, Italy can't produce shit. It sucks I know.

I've watched enough Verratti in the last 2-3 years so i certainly agree. He's a little bull and as you said, a bit too much as he loses his head sometimes.

Defensively, any comparison to Pirlo is silly. Verratti is a completely different player in that aspect.

Don't know about his marking but he is hustling balls from opponents that are two heads taller like a pro. He seems to have that magic lower core that enables him to be hard to push off easily.

Pogba needs help to thrive as Juventus No.10, says Camoranesi

The 22-year-old midfielder has become integral to the club in recent years but needs support, while the 38-year-old is unworried by the club's poor start to the season

Paul Pogba needs help to become integral to Juventus after being handed the No.10 shirt, according to former midfielder Mauro Camoranesi.

Pogba, who was the subject of reported overtures from Chelsea in the summer, has become one of the most highly-rated midfielders in the world at the age of 22.

The Frenchman has made over 130 appearances for the club following his free transfer from Manchester United in 2012 but Camoranesi maintains that his team-mates must also step up to the plate to lighten the load on Pogba in 2015-16.

"It’s strange to see the Frenchman with that number on his shoulders: he has other characteristics,” he told Corriere dello Sport. “One cannot ask you to drag the team at his age, he has a great future ahead, and has proven to have huge room for improvement.

“Right now he is the most important player in the team but to load him with too many expectations would be wrong. It risks burning him out. If he gets the right support he will become crucial for Juve."

Juventus have lost such stars as Carlos Tevez, Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal in the last three months, but Camoranesi maintains that the club can succeed even without the previously indispensable trio.

"We must be within the dynamics of a team to assess and make judgments; for sure Tevez, Pirlo and Vidal had a lot of charisma and now that they’re not there that is lacking,” he added.

“I do not know if the guys who arrived this year have the same profile, they can certainly count on people like Buffon and Barzagli, just to name a few, who have plenty of experience and charisma both on and off the pitch.

"I really like the project. They have a great mix of young talents and established stars like Khedira or Mandzukic, players who in their career have proven to be competitive at international level, have experience and are up to wearing the black and white jersey. "

Juve, however, are yet to collect a point in Serie A, losing to Udinese and Roma, but Camoranesi maintains that he unworried by his former club’s poor start to the season.

"It’s strange to see the team with no points in the standings, but it’s is part of the game,” he added. “So far they have played only 180 minutes, but there are 38 games. In recent years Juventus won the league title mathematically when there were three or four games to go, so I don’t see the problem.

“Of course, starting the season with two consecutive defeats is certainly not the best and does not please anyone, but the club has put together a good group that has the potential to win again. I'm sure.”
