It's because it will mean too many changes in one year and we don't have enough time to get reinforcements.Juventus don't act like that in the market.

I won't be surprised if we sell him for less than the rumored bid next yr if he really wants to leave Juventus.
It's already pretty transitional, better in the long run

I think there is no way we are going to sell him days after we gave him no. 10 shirt. Also it would be impossible to find any kind of replacement for him in the last ten days of the mercato. I can see him leaving next season, but not now.

Calcio Mercato reported it too. They say 100 Mill Eur

I dont think the news are real. Mourinho already said early on that Pogba is way out of budget and compared him to the Eiffel tower.

Chelsea haven't spent much this summer and messed up the first few games in the league badly. Its only natural that the media will push them to solve their troubles by buying superstars.

In case we do sell for an outrageous some (I doubt it will happen) ... are there any good players in CM and AM that have release clauses?

It's not like we don't know his price will go up, especially when it looks like this is gonna be his best season yet. So it's not like we have to sell him otherwise we risk losing out on that money. There's no rush. He'll stay for as long as he wants to stay.

So we should just stop this silly discussion, he won't leave. And if he ever does it won't be this season.

Dude, there's absolutely no chance, no chance whatsoever Pogba would leave this season after being given the #10. Beyond Impossible. They could offer the world.

Now next season is another story.
number 10 has little to do with is imo and seeing as our formation(his role) is not set yet i dont see why it's so far fetched if we do have replacements ready

I would say they should have made that offer in July...
hence the 20 mil mark up, anyhoos all i am saying is it's not as far fetched as you guys make it seem

I'm sure you understood i didn't mean #10 just the number but what it represents, the responsability and importance of the guy who asks to wear it.

It's been widely reported that HE asked for it. He wants to be the face of this "new" team and the way he's been handling himself, his attitude. He clearly aims to be THE leader and have shown 0 intention of leaving now. It's very far fetched to think otherwise imo.

Next season or the one after that... Is another story.

no one is saying it is not unlikely, but in the remote possibility it does go down

No club but Arsenal can afford this due to FFP
why? whats chelsea situation like? what if they throw in oscar in the deal? i dont think you cant just just discount chelsea that easily

:agree: What Crimsonian Said, also giving him no 10 shirt and then selling him 10 days after, would seem like pissing the fans on purpose. Although I do agree that if we have agreed transfers for other players, like Gundogan (who could be direct replacement for him) and AM, we could see Pogba leave. Also there is an option of getting Cuardado or maybe even Oscar in return.
