Its not, there's a lot of good trequartistsa talent out there but somehow clubs seem intent on not using them that way. Everyone is obsessed with wingers and have no great central game.

Insigne, Gotze, Ljajic, Fekir, Bojan, Morrison, Dennis Suarez, Markovic are all players with genuine world class treq talent, yet most aren't being used to the optimum level and hence aren't being the players they're supposed to be.

Anyone that thinks that Pogba was better in 13/14 than he was in 14/15 doesn't have their head screwed on right.
Mertens. Great and wouldn't cost more than 15M, Napoli seems welling to sell.

Half of those listed aren't trequartiste. Bojan? Markovic? Even Insigne and Ljajic are more wide players, although you could say the same for Draxler, we don't necessarily seem to be looking at a classic trequartista.

Pogba gonna have the most difficult season ever ahead of him. Too many expectations due to different reasons. Hope his value doesn't drop next summer.

They are trequartista's, they just aren't being used in their idea positions.

Dude, besides Götze potentially (though not much of a visionary), you mentionned mainly wingers or ss/2nd forwards (or one creative CM/playmaker in Suarez), not trequartisti. At best Fekir is only other one that can get close to it, though like Götze he mainly dribbles his way out of most and takes good advantage of the channels, but yeah can be seen as one on occasion.

But closest to true Trequartisti in todays game, are Isco, Özil, Mata, James Rodriguez, David Silva. Generally creative AMs who really only excell there who are pushed out to the wings with little more freedom.

You seriously need to know the role is if you think people like Bojan or Morrison are it.

Some of those simply aren't, they've never played there and for good reason. You've picked a bunch of technical dribblers, being a trequartista requires more in terms of vision, creativity, pass selection and passing range.
Who on that list hasn't played as a trequartista? They all have at some point in their careers, especially when they were younger. They all have vision, creativity and good pass selection in the final third.
