We used to have the best squad, but seeing roma, napoli, milan and inter move in the market, we are clearly fighting for EL next year. Vidal sigelhandidly took this pathetic squad to cl final and we sold him for a measly 36€. Hes value is clearly atleast 70£, seeing as sterling went for so much. Its a great example bc they are very comparable, as they are both football players.
vidal singlehandedly brought this squad to CL? are you ill?

After selling Vidal, somehow I have this weird optimism that we'll keep him beyond 2016.Anyone shares the same optimism ?

I think we can afford to give him a payrise now, if it guarantees that he'll commit to us for a few more yrs.

Beppe should stand by his 'our future project will be based on keeping our top stars' statement.

I know selling Vidal contradicts this statement but if that comment means we'll build a core of our young stars for 3-4 yrs then it would be really satisfying.

Or maybe not.

Maybe its utopian to think so.

Well he's that kind of player I'd give 6.5m per season. He's very important on the pitch and very marketable. Hype around him is huge and we certainly need some names like that. He's still very young so it makes sense to keep him.

I'm sure the management know all of this but you can't force a player to stay if he wants to go. We definitely have tools to keep him here though.

so to the people who think we should sell him, what use would we have selling him since we cant use that money?

if we accept that 80 million offer, we cant get anyone as good with it.

goatze? doesnt want to join a juve side that has no appeal or superstars?
De Bryne? same
every big or establsihed superstar? same

etc. etc. so tell me what use is selling him?

I think that Pogba is going to stay.

I feel that they are building this squad of young players around him to lead them to the club's next chapter. He is going to be the franchise player, so to speak.

Just my 2 cents.
