Pogba: 'I want long Juve career'

Paul Pogba shrugged off Real Madrid transfer speculation to insist “I am happy at Juventus and hope to stay for a long time.”
The 21-year-old French midfielder bagged a brace in last night’s 3-0 victory away to Lazio, which restored Juve’s three-point lead at the top of the table.
“This was my best game of the season and I hope to continue like this,” he told reporters after the game.
“I just want to learn and improve so that I can become the best one day.”
Pogba has been repeatedly linked with the likes of Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, Manchester City and even a return to Manchester United.
“Real Madrid are a great club, but I am very happy at Juve and want to continue these performances. I hope to stay here for a long time. It’s flattering to hear so much transfer speculation, but I play for Juve and I am happy to wear the Bianconeri jersey.
“Why did Manchester United let me go? You’d have to ask them. I was a free agent and I chose to come here, now I am happy.
“Everyone in the locker room treats me like a little brother and I kid around with everyone. Gigi Buffon told me something before kick-off that I cannot repeat in front of the cameras!”
The attention now turns to Wednesday’s Champions League trip to Malmoe.
“We have a great team and can go far in this competition. We must remain concentrated and continue to work the way we did against Lazio.”

Great performance. He has been so much better with the change in formation. With marchisio covering for pirlo he can have the attacking role he likes the most. He contributed very well to the defense as well as the attack, he made sure his presence was felt through the match.

At times you feel he is simply un-playable. The tichnique he used in the 3rd goal was amazing, something that only a striker is capable of.

That feigning that left Marchetti stranded before slotting the ball in. Grande Paul.

Roma, 24 nov.

Google translate:

Rome , November 24 ( AdnKronos ) - " Pogba is the most expensive player in the world . Will win the Golden Ball , more than once . Juve are strong enough to afford it for so long, but ... " . Mino Raiola , prosecutor Paul Pogba , is expressed as the 21 year-old French midfielder who is charming with Juventus . " Pogba is a world star , Juve is strong enough to afford it for so long. We just renewed the contract " until 2019 , says the agent speaking on ' Politics in Football ' on Gr Parliament . " In football , however, it is difficult to keep a star like that , not for Juve but for the championship . We'll see what happens. Relations with the Bianconeri are great ? I can argue with mica Nedved ? "He continues. " The reports are always great when there is nothing on the table , then you have to see when there is something . I value things when they are concrete , "adds giving a shot at the rim and a barrel . " In Pogba -says still- I see the same mental and physical strength of Ibrahimovic . It ' a great professional , he knows how to sacrifice serves . Paul will win the Golden Ball , more than once . " Ibrahimovic , another star of the team from Raiola , " decide their own future from year to year . Now it is in Paris and not think beyond this season . "

Its a win win situation for everyone involved. We all know that a time will come when Pogba will simply be the next top player in the world, in the lines of Ibra, messi, Cronaldo. We will struggle to keep him when he will be around 25. By that time..we should have used him wisely to catapult our team footballing wise....and if he wants to go..we will sell him at his very best prime....

-He will go to a team that could offer him stupid money and the opportunity to win the CL
-By that time, we would have squeezed a good 5 or 6 years of his career, and hopefully we should have won something in that timeframe with him.
-His sale MUST BE for an absurd amount of money.... in the same line of Zidane in his time and now Bale money.

That way, all parties involded win. What we will lose, sadly, will be to have him in his prime (25-30 years).... but hopefully *crossfingers* we will have used him wisely when the time to part ways comes..

I have to wonder if at the age of 21 Pogba is not only WC (undisputed fact by now) but already the very BEST CM of the world right now.

Honestly I think only Kroos and Yaya Toure are of his level right now... and I'd definitely pick him over these 2 guys.

Pogba is tall, crazy strong, crazy acceleration, crazy pace, amazing skilled, crazy football IQ, making great decisions all the time, great vision for assists, amazing dribbling, amazing passing, unbelievable shooting and finishing with both legs, great defending, best ball control in the world, high concentration, focused guy who doesn't fuck up off the field, level headed, ambitious, correct professional, and after playing like 70 games per year in the last years, has he ever lost ONE game due to injury concerns??? The guy is also an ironman, never getting injured...

It's just insane how he actually is on his way to become one of the top CMs ALL-TIME. Unbelievable talent. We are so lucky. If he played for another Italian team I would be envying them so much!!

Thank you Marotta for this.

I mean, I really can't think of a weak point of his game. One thing he can't do at the midfield.

Honestly, he doesn't deserve the world class tag yet. He definitely has the ability to be WC, but so far, other than his short time with the NT, he has only proven himself in Serie A, which unfortunately is no real test of eliteness. He must carry this form into Europe consistently to be considered world class imo

What?? He is widely considered world class, even by EPL fans. There isn't a necessary recipee for being world class. He is already one of the most expensive players of the world, he is a starter for France, I don't think his WC status can even be questioned, honestly.

Oh and Raiola said Juve refused 2 important offers for him last summer.

World class status is determined by performance, not ability, in my eyes. I have no doubt he will prove to be WC, he just hasn't had much opportunity to do so yet
