Paul Pogba will wait until after the World Cup to sign his contract extension at Juventus, according to the Italian Press.

Juventus have been trying to negotiate a new deal with the France international for a few months now.

But Tuttosport claim this morning that the midfielder will not put pen-to-paper until after he’s come back from Brazil in the summer.

The paper reveals that there have been some clashes between the Bianconeri and Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola over the new deal.

The Turin outfit don’t want to include a minimum fee release clause in the contract, whereas the player’s representative does.

There is though, no doubt that the former Manchester United man will sign an extension with Antonio Conte’s men.

I'm scared he is going to have a killer World Cup and won't sign the extension at all...

Raiola isn't stupid, player power is so strong, they'll have us over a table by dragging this past the World Cup. I think he'll ultimately re-sign, as they know it is a mutually beneficial arrangement to stay at Juve for the near future, but I think it'll be at a cost.

As long as Deschamps continues playing his as a holding midfielder, he won't have a 'killer' world cup. Not with France anyway.

Before i was praying for him to have a kiler world cup for his price to sky rocket. But i was asuming that by that time.. a new deal with us would have been already signed.

Now things change, because if he rips apart the world cup.... he will have all the right to demand stupid contract. Not that he doesnt deserve it, but the more he milks us....the more he will force us to include buy out clauses and sell him when things get rought.

Obviously Raiola is trying to stall teh deal for this.. not to mention that if after the world cup, pogba (Raiola´s)´s demands become umbearable for Juve... Raiola will receive a mosntrous quantity of money from his inminent sale.

This may not necessarily be a bad thing for Juve. If Pogba has a bad world cup, there's just as much chance that he'll settle for what we are rumored to be offering him. His dynamic within the French team and the pressure of the WC may not be a guarantee that he will have a great WC. Loss of form could affect him too. They're just some of the variables he is likely to face in the summer.

If this is all Raiola's doing, then he's probably thinking, itll help skyrocket Pogba's value and Juve is likely to get greedy to cash in. When in reality, it could well work in the club's favor.

I also think Pogba's got an intelligent head on his shoulders and despite Mino's nature, he's perhaps going to consider his growth ahead of the money. Staying st Juve would be the right thing for him to do if he believes he's found an environment he can thrive in.

If this is Raiola´s doing, i think he is killing two birds with one shot. On one hand, he is ensuring that no matter what happens, he will please his client getting him a very good deal with high salary and benefits, and ensuring that Juventus will bend over to their requests. He is the most promising youth on his positions and deserves that.
If that doesnt happen then comes the part where Raiola also wins: he will force a high budget transfer to any team willing to pay the mamooth price the bidding war will generate....and getting a big chunk of money on the process.

Its a win-win for Raiola. After the world cup, no mater what happens he will cash in. If not now, then in 2 years or so. But the Pogba money will flo into his pockets no matter what-

I don't know, when I think of figures like 90-100M in my head it sounds like fantasy figures, but then you consider how stupid PSG are and how desperately they appear to want Pogba then I don't know....

Whatever happens we should stand to make ridiculous profit, which could allow us to buy a player or two that we usually chalk off as being 'unreachable'

If he doesnt want to renew why should we sell him prior to the World Cup? If his preformance is bad we could still value him at 60-80m but if he does preform and I think he will, then we could ask for a ridiculous amount.

People always like to act as if we're the only club in Europe that can't overcharge for players. Whereas tiny clubs like Palermo can make over 30M from the likes of Pastore

I think it's because we had half a team of expensive flops not so long ago, who nobody wanted to buy.

It's not all Riola, you gotta hand it to Paul too. He knows how to play this. After all, we're talking about a 19 year old who made a fool out of Fergie knowing full well how to sell himself.

Except Palermo dont directly invest the lumpsome amounts they receive for their players whereas we do since we are active spenders on the market and in turn it puts us in a position where we have to overpay for our targets .
