Apart from 2 or 3 games he has been their best player under Solskjaer.

Rakitic is 31yo, lets bring in some younger players. I liked Pogba, but over the last several years he didnt improve, maybe even regressed a bit since he left. He is talented, but he wasted few years at United. Not the best attitude as well. Id pass and focus on someone else.

In the end. I think the board will make the best decision and build the best possible squad for another push for CL with future in mind.

We have too many over the 30 yo players. We need long term solutions and players eager to prove themselves on the bigger stage. Rakitic has won all there is to win with his club, Id question his motivation here. We would be doing the same mistake like in the past few years, at the expense of building the team for the next several years.
