He doesn't perform like a 100 mln player (no sane person would expect him to do it), but he is slowly becoming the most important player in this manure line up. He creates chances, tackles etc. – doing all things we loved him here for.
People are too harsh on him. I hate manure and Mou, but wish only the best for Paul (by this I mean, not getting in CL for couple of seasons more, him growing up and coming back here for 10 years loan to play alongside Veratti and Marchisio in midfield).

I would say he's proving to be the ultimate "good times" player. He can be brilliant when his team is brilliant, but is piss poor when his team is not playing well. Now this isn't a huge knock on him as the vast majority of players are like this, however when looked at from the context of the most expensive player of all time it speaks volumes. A player (especially a vital cog in the midfield) should be the one digging in and driving his team forward out of those stretches of bad play.

All three of Marchisio, Vidal, and Pirlo were like this. They do so in different ways, each one of them, but they all elevate their games when Juve is/was going through rough patches of form and they all make their teammates perform better.

Pogba is the exact opposite. He is far too individualistic, especially when things go poorly, and while this is not a problem with a CF who bangs in goals, it is a big problem with a CM. He stops passing to certain teammates, as though he doesn't trust them, he throws little tantrums on the pitch, he dribbles a player or two and then gets dispossessed by the third instead of making an easy pass. When our team was looking terrible to start last season, and the same deal with ManU to start this season, Pogba does the exact opposite of being the leader on the pitch that elevates his game and those around him. He most often looks like he's playing his own little game, that has nothing to do with the rest of his teammates.

Until he learns how to step up during these rough patches, he'll never be anything close to a 100M player.
I agree with you on all counts. But I think that kind of inconsistency and suspect decision making at times is natural for a player that is just 23, I can completely see him ironing those aspects out of his game in the next few years. Because I think we can all agree that in terms of natural ability and potential, few players are anywhere near as good as he is.

I hope he goes to Real or something and fulfills his potential there though.

I agree with you that he is a "good times" player I have been saying that since last season but something is wrong at UTD that goes beyond that. Ibra is supposed to be the ultimate "bad times" player where you can basically stick him in a team of retards and he would elevate everyone's level. He looked like he was going to do that in his first 4-5 games at United when he scored the winning goals despite the team being a mess but the goals have dried up.

Do you think Ibra will turn it around? or is it the case that at this age he can only be a "good times" player?

I think Mourinho is poison at this point in his career, to be quite honest. He fell under his own spell and completely lost it. And I think a big part of United's problem is just that. He is not a good coach to get the most out of egos like Pogba and Ibra, especially when they are surrounded by mostly quite inferior players (regardless of how much redcafe overrates the rest of their squad).

Pogba has had a stinker of a season by the standards we know he's capable of in a functioning team. But he's still been their best and most important mid by far.

Zlatan has been terrible the last few games, but he's the only reason they started the season with decent results.

I just cannot imagine these two doing well long-term under Mou and with the weak said they have backing them. I think people really over-estimated the rest of that squad.

come on, it's not like these 2 are Uniteds only 2 good players, with everyone healthy they can put out a lineup very close to the best teams in EPL.

Actually it's gonna look like this:

1. Liverpool
2. Chelsea (-1pts)
3. Tottenham (-4pts)
4. City (-5pts)
5. Arsenal (-8pts)
6. Leicester (-9pts)

Disagree massively. They are way behind the likes of City, Chelsea and Arsenal.
not than massively

De Gea> Courtoius,
Shaw>Alonso
Valencia=Moses
Baily=Luiz
Smalling<Apilicueta
Pogba>Matic
Herrera<Kante
Zlatan<Costa
Martial>Pedro
Mata<Hazard.

MU have very good players, the thing is Mou seems to be in worse condition than before. wrong tactics, lack of proper RB and one CB. Plus players who are amazingly skilled but have great ego or don`t have the chemistry or passion.

In Chelsea Moses and Alonso play very good, but no one will tell me they are world class. English teams have some problems, Arsenal seem to be pretty good balanced but City? They would use good fullbacks, Sagna,Zabaleta,Clichy and Kolarov are over 30 and some of them now mediocre, Kompany often injured.

For me it's:

De Gea = Courtoius
Shaw < Alonso
Valencia=Moses
Baily < Luiz
Smalling < Apilicueta
Pogba < Matic; Pogba has superior technical abilities but Matic is the better team player
Herrera < Kante
Zlatan < Costa
Martial < Pedro; c'mon, Pedro is class
Mata = Hazard ; both are talented and both are inconsistent
