He needs to leave this club sooner or later. As y'all pointed out, limited is a word that describes this guy perfectly. Frustrating is another word that comes to mind. And unlike the usual way around here, I say this after a "good" performance and not a crap one.
He's fine as cheap backup.

The problem is that Juve have so many injuries, the backup players have to be used a lot, which exposes their limitations.

I thought he played well. It's nice to have him at LB rather at mid because he has a lot of energy and can push forward making him a headache to mark.

De Ceglie had a pretty good game... he has some decent pace, which we're definitely in need of. At this point in time, he's sometimes a little too fast for his own good. Doesn't have the ball control to match his pace, is what I'm saying...

Wouldn't it be nice if he had a decent right foot. DC might be the most one footed player I've ever seen... and yes I'm exaggerating, but it's one of his glaring limitations...

but by pace you surely do not mean acceleration, do you ?

i saw many situations where he was just to slow to actually gain pace to even have the slightest chance not to be outrun and he does not seem to be athletic at all.

don't get me wrong. i don't say he cant run ... it doesn't look like an athlete running but more like pinocchio running with a wooden stick in his ass

and when i like someone run with something up their ass it better be someone like this

:D

His acceleration isn't great, as you mentioned (especially from a full stop), but once he's got a bit of room to 'wind it up', as it were, he's got some decent pace. The problem with that though, as I mentioned above, is that when he increases his speed, his control suffers greatly.

I completely agree - he is by no means a fluid runner. Awkward is definitely the word...

It indeed is Jessica Simpson.

And yes, PDC runs like a retard, but like you said he's quite fast. It's a shame he doesn't have a better touch, he's just a really limited player. Decent to have as a back up, but he should by no means be a part of our midfield as a starter.

And I'm afraid that's exactly what Zac's got in mind with his 3-4-1-2.

Thats interesting because one of his assists last season was a very good cross to Amauri with his right foot.

Im pretty sure that cross was left footed but regardless DC's right foot is not that bad. I can understand the criticism he receives in certain areas but his weak foot ability is not one of them
