argentina is full of talented players , but i like this guy we should get him and get back giovinco and it will be great in midfield for years .
Sure he'll be great, but not with us.. He isnt a realistic transfer as things are already complicated enough in terms of our attack, a young player needing time to prove himself would further confuse things

I don't really think we need him, we have enough youth players to choose from come the start of next season, and our attacking players are pretty good as it is now, and if we got Amauri, there would be even less need for this kid.

Crespo, Batistuta, Maradona, Sivori...
Nah, Argie's don't have trouble with serie A.

P.S.: And Trez is half Argentinian and was born and raised there.

everyone is forgetting Camoranesi is argentinian

In regards to argentines adapting to serie A, many believe the two leagues are comparable in several ways thus argentine players usually adapt quickly in Italy, which is true.. theres numerous examples.. They same is said for brazilian serie A and Spanish La Liga

Napoli target Argentine stars Thursday 24 April, 2008

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Napoli are reportedly tracking the progress of 19-year-old Estudiantes midfielder Pablo Piatti and a host of other Argentine youngsters.

Piatti, who was part of Argentina's squad at the 2007 Under-20 World Cup, played alongside former Serie A star Juan Veron under his ex-Lazio teammate Diego Simeone in his homeland.

According to the Italian Press, Azzurri sporting director Pierpaolo Marino has asked Veron and Estudiantes' current Coach Nestor Sensini, another ex-Aquile, for their opinion on the teenage talent.

Piatti's agent, Nestor Sivori, is said to have also offered Napoli first option on another Argentine star, Bordeaux striker Fernando Cavenaghi, who has hit 14 goals in Ligue 1 this season.

Juventus are also believed to be interested in the pair and even if the Bianconeri steal in for the two South Americans, Napoli Coach Edy Reja [pictured] is confident he will be able take them on loan.

The two clubs have done a lot of business in the last year, negotiating co-ownership deals for Marcelo Zalayeta and Manuele Blasi.

Juventus misfit Sergio Almiron, who was loaned out to France with Monaco in January, is also thought to intrigue the Partenopei along with Italy striker Vincenzo Iaquinta.

Napoli have a reputation for signing Argentines, the most famous being Diego Maradona who joined the Azzurri in 1984 and led them to two Scudetti, a Coppa Italia and a UEFA Cup.

Napoli's top scorer this season with eight Serie A strikes to his name is Ezequiel Lavezzi, an Argentine signed from San Lorenzo last summer.

From what I have heard he won`t cost much therefore I think we should take him and maybe loan him to gain experience if he impresses we could give him a chance if not so we lost a couple of millions it`s not as we spent 20M for him...

What I`m saying is... He is worth the gamble

:agree:

If he doesn't cost too much, and it sounds like he won't, then why not take the chance. He has shown enough potential in his league and for the Argentina youth sides to go in for him.

Confuse things? What is there to be confused about? Are we confused about whether or not Palladino is a left-winger or a forward? Are we confused to the age of Del Piero and Nedved, as if they have fake birth certificates, not knowing their exact birth date? Are we struggling to remember which way is left, which way is right? Is Palladino really that good of a player? Do we have a bunch of Messis coming through our Primavera?

OHHHH MY GOD, TOO MANY TALENTS, I'M SO CONFUSED...

we can always loan him out...
Yeah... and let him waste away.

I don't really think we need him, we have enough youth players to choose from come the start of next season, and our attacking players are pretty good as it is now, and if we got Amauri, there would be even less need for this kid.
Yeah, so many great youth players. You know, like besides Giovinco, we have Palladino, Lanzafame, and uhhh, umm... Immobile and Ayub Daub...

:shifty:

Yes, you are dead wrong. Fonseca was from Uruguay.

And nah, Argentinians don't settle well in Italy. It took Maradona and Batigol three thousand appearances before they could stomach eating a plate of pasta.
