I'm still waiting for the classic fan boy response of "no to Piatti because he will interfere with Giovinco's progress" c'mon someone has to do it!

people need to consider that perhaps Piatti is better than all our youngsters, and we as Juve fans want the best players to play for Juve. Stop thinking that our young players are perfect. People are too attached to them, and they act like it is the end of the world if we sell one of them to get another player. Chances are there many young players who are better than them. And If there is some kid who is better than Giovinco for example then I would want that kid in Juve, even if it on the expense of Giovinco.

I agree!
I am too for the best player wins wethere he is our youngster or not
It`s like this... I would prefer the next big thing over a possability of a very good player

Piatti sounds great has potential and cheap so you know what let him fight with Giovinco for a place and who know maybe they could even play together

Obvious but needed point Lion. Another one is thinking two talents cant coexist. The amount of times I keep hearing this or that player shouldnt be signed because there is no room due to the couple of talents we have is staggering. Like a team is built by one capable talent and the rest should be average role players. Arsenal have dozens of different skillfull players, Barca are stacked with them from Bojan, Messi, Iniesta etc, the same with Man U (CRon, Tevez, Rooney, Nani, Anderson etc) and so on.

But for us, nooo, according to some people, there is only room for one Giovinco or such, and cant coexist with no one else like that in the team. No one else is needed, to improve the team. They would hamper the one or two talents we have, so say no to everything.

The point is rather, with only so much money to spend, why spend in an area where you already have a similar player coming through?
Man they can play bitter together (different roles). Gio is a left mid or a playmaker (he can play as an SS but he prefers to play as a midlefielder) where is piatti play's more as an SS with his current club....They just don't play in the same positions (people r really confused and think that they can't coexist together)........

From what I have heard he won`t cost much therefore I think we should take him and maybe loan him to gain experience if he impresses we could give him a chance if not so we lost a couple of millions it`s not as we spent 20M for him...

What I`m saying is... He is worth the gamble
that's what am talkin' bout

Confuse things? What is there to be confused about? Are we confused about whether or not Palladino is a left-winger or a forward? Are we confused to the age of Del Piero and Nedved, as if they have fake birth certificates, not knowing their exact birth date? Are we struggling to remember which way is left, which way is right? Is Palladino really that good of a player? Do we have a bunch of Messis coming through our Primavera?

OHHHH MY GOD, TOO MANY TALENTS, I'M SO CONFUSED...
Yes, Del Piero is aging, Palladino is yet to convince and our primavera attackers arent exactly on the same level as Messi to say the least

But surely with an attack line of Del Piero, Trezeguet, Giovinco, Iaquinta & Amauri, given that Palladino is sold i find it hard to believe Piatti (who is unproven) would warrant a single game all year.. Not even inter are foolsih enough to waste that many resources into the one department.. so YES, he would confuse things in saying that we would undoubtedly be a surplus considering the amount of players who are capable of starting that we ALREADY have or own.. I have a suspicion Marino will snap him up for cheap and before you know it he will explode and u might indeed be totally correct but the fact remains with the likely purchase of Amauri, another attacker despite his talent (which in piatti's case is a bit unknown) is unneccessary and a waste of finance and he wouldnt get sufficient playing time in contrast to what he would get at Napoli!!!!.. Unless we ofcourse make way for him and do an overhaul of our attacking line to accomadate him and if he were to fail how much of a f'n idiot would we look like??

Facts remains he's an unknown variable in a position we have 4 very capable players in DP, Trez, Iaq & Amauri (looks likely) not to mention Giovinco who has given every indication and more that he deserves a chance with us.. Piatti would be a gamble espcially considering the oppurtunity cost of his aquisition

What do u seriously suggest we do then???

there are so many players we can get out of the primera ahead of piatti
names?? I think the reason why some people are interested in Piatti is because of the fact he is an unknown player with raps all over him who could be something very special.. but seriously if Piatti was Hungarian or something would people still be so interested in him?

I would :claire: , the guy is talented u just need to watch him playing one game and u'll know he's great. Very pacy, skilled with great control and has great shots in a way he reminds me of young recoba (with bitter stamina). If a player is talented then nationality doesn't mean anything (if he's argentinian or hungarian....

u can't seriously believe that.. For example, If Hleb was brazilian there'd be debates on shithouse websites like Goal.com (Is Hleb the best player in the EPL) & so on.. Nationality plays a big part in today's media and it is the media we rely on so very much

Who cares about debates who's bitter than who. Am talking about the guy playing for juve, if he's talented then he's welcomed in juve no matter where his from. Another thing talent can overcome anything else. "Stoichkov" is bulgarian but even though bulgaria is not considered among the big nations in football he still made a big name for him in europe, same goes to shevchenko and ukraine.....

guy's take Man Utd like an example , thay have the perfect team ...
Man Utd's current squad cost €225m to assemble in transfer fees alone, several players also have add-ons for appearances and to buy Tevez's contract from MSI is around another €35m.

They buy talented young players for extraordinary amounts of money, they are not a role model for Juventus at all.

Ofcourse, speaking as a fan i couldnt care less where a player came from, i'd judge his performances solely on that alone, what i was trying to say is that the media doesnt always do that and thus is biased.. And yes ur right, some players like Sheva have overcome it but it is disportionent to say the least IMO

Look, Del Piero is getting old, Palladino is still dodgy, Trezeguet and Amauri are targetmen, not support strikers. Considering Giovinco should and will be deployed in midfield, that will leave us with no support strikers in the coming years.

I'm not sure how this is confusing. I hate this retarded mentality that we're afraid we will have too many talents on our side and it will cause a problem. Look at Manure, look at Arsenal, look at Barca. Are they at all confused? Are they suffering because of their glut of talent? Why can't we start planning ahead and buy a friggin replacement for players we know are on their last legs? We have to fucking plan ahead for a change. And when there is a great talent available, who has considerably more talent than all our youngsters except for Giovinco, you DO NOT sit on your ass just so Milan or Inter or Manure can snap him up.

This is just foolishness that is all too common on this forum.
