That means our retard manager never learn from his mistakes. Pay 15 million for a third rate, third choice 30 years old atriker, then cry about how we can't afford top players and we'll have to sell Pogba if a mega offer comes.
Vucinic was vital for our first Scudetto and Quagliarella was great until his injury. Osvaldo's 28 and could theoretically turn out better than both for a relatively small sum.

Who else could we get in the 15 million region who wouldn't be a gamble? Sometimes you're lucky with a Cavani or Vidal, and sometimes you end up with an Amauri or Diego. The latter two actually looked like better players before coming to Juventus.

20m is also not 15m.
what 15mil you talking about, the reported clause was 19mil, without naming the performance bonuses (which were £2mil in Tevez case)
Tevez was bought from the same team for £10mil, so nearly doubling that ammount, cannot be considered a relatively small sum.

The 15mil ammount is smth made up in this forum and holds no water...its just a positive estimation from the MArotta apologists.

Both parts have agreed on the 19mil digit when they have signed the deal.
The 15mil was never reported by anyone and judging by our past MArotta usually overpays in these situations, or selling off, when it comes to the opposite situations (Giovinco).
If we remember the MAtri situation for ex, it makes more sense that the 20mil are already commited, rather than MArotta will manage to make it 15mil...

So lets keep it true, the 19mil, is the least that we will pay, as it is written on the official papers!
We can guess for better or worse price tags, according to his performance, but thats only guessing.
So, Osvaldo better start looking that he deserves those 20mil!

Vucinic wasn't vital. We won the scudetto because of our superior midfield and defence + Conte. Our strikers were interchangeable, hell, even Borriello arrived and managed to contribute.

20m is also not 19m. The buyout clause is €19m according to the official site: http://www.juventus.com/wps/portal/.../dl4/d5/L2dBISEvZ0FBIS9nQSEh/?pragma=no-cache

The €15m is something I (Marotta apologist and positive estimator) feel is what we will end up paying, but it depends how well he does. It might even be lower, or not sign him at all. Straight from the horse's mouth:

"It's a free loan and the player has drastically reduced his salary."

"The option to buy Osvaldo at €19M is an arbitrary number. We will evaluate how he adapts."
If we end up paying €19m I'll side with you, that is a high end fee for him. But in the meantime it would be better if you didn't keep saying we have spent €19m or €20m.

Southampton are in no position to play hardball

Osvaldo has no future there, and there is absolutely no club with cash to splash eyeing up Osvaldo.
I reckon we'd get him for 15M in 2-3 installments. Which is great considering our other strikers are either useless when starting matches (Quags)

Useless due to injuries (Mirko)

Or useless in a 3-5-2 (Giovinco)

And we can't have our first choice bench options being completely inexperienced young players.

We're obviously not spending 19m on Osvaldo but I think Conte loves having him as an option. They should play him off position, maybe on a flank or something like that. Just make sure he can contribute somehow without scoring bunch of goals because Southampton will want their 19m if he's a success and scores a bunch of goals.

One thing is they wanting that money and another thing is we paying it.

If marotta is an intelligent man, he will force SH to sell him to us for peanuts or simply leave the deal. Its the same situation we were with Melo and Galatasaray, its just that we are the ones with the upperhand on this one.

If they go mad and refuse to sell, then so be it, its their problem... but if they want to dispatch their "garbage" to us, then they should accept our garbage offer or GTFO.
If i were Marotta, i would go merciless on this deal. We are in no obligation to buy him as far as i know... so if they keep their 19 mils, or even 15 mils clause...then its a no go.

The 15mil is out of question and completely irrelevant to the EPL standards and MArotta's history record.
The agreed 19mil clause we have signed is closer to 20mil, rather than 15mil.
15mil is completely irrelevant and is only used by the Marotta apologists to sweeten the deal and the fact that Osvaldo never in his carrier has done anything to be worthy of such a clause
and yet, Marotta has agreed to sign that!
With the ammount we have signed, SH will even be making a profit!!! from a problematic player that has failed them, both on and off the field.
If MArotta couldnt negotiate a better clause right now, after such a disastrous season,he have had, what makes you think that he will,
if the player does well here and we are really interested on him?
It is a very well known fact that Marotta overpays for such players. (twice as much if they are Italians)
Ever since Marotta took his manager spot with us,(except maybe this year) he has been committing the majority of our budget on new forwards of doubtful quality and we pay extra cash, if that player is of Italian origin.
We are the perfect victim to try and offload such a failure for a great price. They will try to con us and if they fail, they will loan him elsewhere with a more reasonable clause. (just like Pool did with Aquilani)
We are the last chance to recover their money and they are not like MC, who doesnt care about cash.

If any team wants to make money, by fooling someone, Marotta is one of their best bet, in Italy at least,
(+1 since this player happens to be Italian and ppl have fond memories of him in that league) unfortunately everybody knows that...
Osvaldo is not running out of contract, like Llorente, nor has reached Tevez's age and so SH can have more opportunities to try their luck elsewhere, if we dont fall for it.

19mil, with possibly a couple more, as bonus performance is the best case scenario, in case he does relatively well.
The worst case scenario would be to see us conceding that money, because a "gentleman's deal" was already struck, regardless of his horrid perfomances, just like Marotta did with so many other players...

Right. Vucinic played no part in that midfield scoring as much as it did. Borriello would have provided those eight assists.
