would have been great if he could finish off the game by converting this 1v1 chance, pretty good attempt though given that it was his 1st touch after being out of playing for weeks.

I thought he looked good today, made a couple nice runs, almost scored from that difficult angle, slotted Asamoah's offside pass in the net.

I think he'll help us a lot this season, especially with the EL coming up soon.

Looking forward to see more of him. He almost scored today, looked quite sharp.

Sadly he got his chance when our squad was falling apart.

He's not even checking if the guy holding up the number plate is bringing him on or someone else. Pure concentration.
He doesnt need to :D He is a zen amster.

He looked good on the few instances he got a sniff of the ball, looked significantly more dangerous than Llorente in the box and dat understanding with Tevez!!
Liked what i saw. Needs more minutes.

And is totally noticeable teh difference between this signing and the bendmers and anelkas. Conte definitely wanted osvaldo to come. Getting minutes so fast.-

No, it isn't. First because he only played for roughly 20 min and second because both Bendtner and Anelka would only come in in the last 10 or 5 min. Neither did anything that granted any praise in the little time they played.

He's obviously a better player than those two even though i don't rate him highly, really. But that fact wasn't noticeable on this match, you guys are seeing what you want to see. And exaggerating. But i agree he needs more minutes, i have a feeling he will be a decent signing for Serie A level.

Llorente offered absolutely no threat today, Osvaldo at least had a goal threat about him.

I admire Llorentes work but is he spends 90% of his minutes with his back to goal then we're essentially relying on Tevez and Tevez only in a majority of attacks.

    Oh, tuz... :touched:

Last week people were complaining about Tevez and how he was making Llorente look bad.

Now that he scored 2 goals and Llorente had a poor performance, it's the other way around. Let's complain about Llorente! All because we have a new striker that player 15 to 20 minutes and really didn't do anything special. Seriously, get a grip.

    Football fans :facepalm2:

Not turning on Llorente at all

But it's clear that he's a bit too unselfish. I'm just sticking up for Osvaldo in this one instance because he did offer a genuine threat.

For the record I still prefer Llorente to Tevez and i'd love to put Llorente in a 4-3-3 in between two Wingers. But on this one instance today, he had a poor game.

Good cause you have no reason to. He just had a bad game, nothing wrong there. Even the greats had their bad days. Tevez was below par for 3 to matches in a row while Llorente was scoring goals and putting on top performances.

I wouldn't stick up for him yet, he's done nothing to prove his worth, not at Juve or any other time of his career. And besides, one genuine threat and good passes is worth of praising? Come on, you know better.

But yes, Llorente did have a bad match and Osvaldo did decent enough for 20 minutes.

I'm just hoping people don't make some sort of scapegoat out of Osvaldo because he came on for Llorente and we went on to lose, that's all

I'm a fan of Llorente and as I said he would be our ideal striker in a 4-3-3. But Osvaldo did look good enough coming on today

I see what you're saying, and I agree, Llorente needs to be a little more direct in his game, than only linking the build up play. It's not like he doesn't have the awareness of goal or a lethal shot. He gets into enough goal scoring positions too.

He did, but you're far likely to look better in 15 minutes, than be criticized for not having enough time to show your worth. Not knocking on Osvaldo though, I liked his movement on and off the ball. Showed good awareness on Pirlo's pass and even linked neatly with Tevez.
