The ISI is no joke. If he's been around Islamabad they must have known of this. Right now we don't really know anything so who knows...maybe the ISI helped find him in the end and took him out because there's no the US infringed on Pakistan's sovereignty and it's not even close to the Afghan border so a drone attack is out of the question.
Do you really think the Paki's would try and get between the US and Bin Laden? I'm pretty sure that if we knew were Bin Laden was, and wanted him as badly as we supposedly did, we'd take him out regardless of what Pakistan says.

Some correspondent just reported that a Pakistani official has confirmed the news and he said that this part of a highly secret operation in which the Pakistani authorities participated in.

If Gul is right then it'll be a terrible terrible situation. Pakistan is no push-over. It will not be an Iraq or Afghanistan...this will get dirty. Let's hope things don't go down that road.
Gul also claimed that 9/11 was basically an inside job. He's the former commander of the ISI.

Either he speaks the truth or the Pakistani government has been in some way protecting OBL. That's the only thing that makes sense.

Probably. And this is why this entire OBL story doesn't add up.

10 years to find a single cave-dweller only to find him on the grid in Islamabad. Give me a break.

Honestly I don't know. The Pakistani govt is extremely corrupt. I don't think it'd be in their interest to stand between OBL and the US but they're capable of doing it because the mullahs run Pakistan. Nothing is done without their approval; they're choking the country literally.

As much as I would hate to say it...9/11 was most likely an inside job....I heard that days before it a "cleaning crew" went in it when no one was there. People say they planted bombs on each floor thats why it went down so quickly...but m3h

As I said before, I'm sure that we've been watching him closely and waiting for a day when his death would be useful as a distraction/morale booster for the general public.

We have satellites that can find a penny on the ground, I bet that they could have killed him at anytime really.

I'm just saying that it hasn't really been US policy recently to deal with Middle Eastern governments that get in the way of our goals. The government seems to do just whatever they want.
