I don't mind Iaquinta, but to be our only signing for the front line, it would be a gamble especially if Trezeguet and Bojinove leave. Also, it is reported that Zalayeta has some offers and he'll likely leave, he needs regular football. Also, I think that if we sign Iaquinta, we'll be no longer interested in Huntelaar. Hence, the real target should be Pizarro. (Del Piero - Trezeguet - Palladino - Iaquinta - Pizarro) sounds a very strong attack line to me.

Please discuss.

I can't see what will Pizzaro add to this line up but problems.

Our two definite strikers for next season are Alex and Trezi(if he stays), then we will have Iaquinta with Palladino, then in your proposition we would have Pizzaro.

The guy wants 3 millions a year, and we bring him to be a 5th striker ? it would be the same case with Iaquinta if Pizzaro is ahead of him the pecking order.

Palladino would be the only player who can play DP's role(considering their abilities), so we would be disadvantaged overall imo.

Also the 3 bench player won't be happy staying on the bench all the time.

The paper claims that the player will sign a five-year contract and that the deal will cost Juve £5.7 million, plus the co-ownership of Michele Paolucci, currently on loan at Ascoli.

Iaquinta’s contract at Udinese expires in 2010, but he nonetheless looks to be leaving The Friuli.

Juve boss Didier Deschamps has apparently accepted the transfer of the player who has scored 14 Serie A goals this season.

The Bianconeri have already sealed the transfers of Zdenek Grygera (Ajax), Hasan Salihamidzic (Bayern Munich) and Domenico Criscito (Genoa).

The club has also been linked with Mohamed Sissoko of Liverpool and AS Roma’s Philippe Mexes.






i really really dont know what to think. Iaquinta plays well with udinese but with azzurri he is pure shit!!!! i really hope this is bull.

well, if we have signed iaquinta then its not a bad deal as we dont seem to have overpaid.

i still wish that we get the hunter but i just cant see him fitting in if this is indeed now a certainty. Iaquinta can play in a variety of different positions so he will prove to be a good bench player or even a starter in the 4-3-3 that has been quoted. Im unsure about the number of goals he will get, im possibly expecting around 12-15 goals if hes a regular starter.

Another positive is that he is an italian and it is important that we keep our italian core.......

I think we'll be playing this tactic (4-3-3) from next season onwards with DD

Palladino will replace Del. Camoranesi will leave so Marchionni will rotate with Iaquinta. And if we get Huntelaar, he'll rotate with Trezegoal.

Eh. Not bad, but I don't like Nedved as a center piece to our midfield. He is a decent central midfielder in a 4 man midfield. I hate the 4-3-3, but this version of it looks average.

Pizarro would be a good depth player. You need 5 strikers and a reserve guy like Zalayeta. Injuries do happen, this isnt a video game and teams like us can't afford to sacrifice a season because of 1 player.

You make it sound like Hunter already is ours..

Anyway I dont see Pizzaro and Iaquinta as good signings... I'd go for Pizzaro as a backup as he is Free!.. And get Hunter as a replacement for Trez!

i agree since spalitti left odinese he played rarely and not as good. but even then he performed well under lippi
this proves that he need a good coach to understand his style

i don't say that he is great either but im sure that if he come he wil prove all skeptics wrong.

dont compare him to hunter. the later will only come if he is guaranteed a starting place.

Some of u are exxagerating. He is not that bad. His versatility is a bonus, and being a world champion, thats invaluable experience. £5.7m plus the co-ownership of Michele Paolucci isn't alot either. He can be a backup to either 1 of our front 2, and even out wide. The 1 thing he has over all our forwards is speed, and with 14 goals a season, he is a pretty decent finisher.
