Bojinov ready for action Thursday 16 November, 2006

Juventus ace Valeri Bojinov says he’s looking forward to stepping into the boots of Alex Del Piero and David Trezeguet this weekend.
The Bulgarian is expected to start against Albinoleffe given the injuries to the duo, as well as Marcelo Zalayeta, and he can’t wait to prove his worth.
“I’m ready,” he told the club’s website. “It’s up to the boss to decide who plays, but I’m here to learn and to get better and I’m just hoping I’ll be able to play my part.
“I’m sorry for the guys who are out injured, but these things seem to happen when least expected.
“Thankfully for me I’m in good shape and if I play, I’ll be looking to give my all and go out there with my heart on my sleeve.”
The summer loan signing from Fiorentina has rarely played so far this term, but was given an opportunity as a substitute against Pescara last week.
“I hadn’t played for a good while, but after Saturday and last night’s international I’m slowly getting back to the right match condition,” he added.
“Physically and mentally I feel better than I’ve ever felt in my career and I’m extremely happy to be here.”
Bojinov is expected to be partnered by Under-21 international Raffaele Palladino on Saturday and the Bulgarian believes they can gel.
“We’ve only played 25 minutes together in a competitive match, but Palla is a player who reads the game well.
“He also has great Serie B experience having scored 15 goals with Salernitana and he did very well at Livorno last year. He’s a fantastic guy and a great player.”
Although Bojinov’s appearances have been limited, the youngster has praised boss Didier Deschamps.
“He’s always treated me very well, given me the right advice and respected me as I respect him,” he added.
“What does he tell us? Just that we’re Juventus and we have a duty to go out there and win every time.”
