My main concern for next season is how defensively strong our midfield will be if Tiago and Almiron will be playing together.

well Tiago first started out as a DMF, so im sure he will do a great job working between mid and defense. he can also assist in attack with his assists and great long shots. as for almiron, he is good when he attacks as he showed last season with empoli

Nasri is good but I would rather get a more proven player like Diego or Van Der Vaart.

Tiago is OK defensively but I don't know how much Almiron will help out. I just don't see either as being particularly good ball winners in midfield to really protect our defence.

Going from 2 world class destroyers and 2 world class CBs when we were last in serie A to having an OK central defence and no destroyer is a big gamble.

Oh man -- Juve has always taken great midfielders and turned them into crappy DMs. It's a sickness this team has. One solid first DM would be plenty, IMO. I don't want to be fielding another Emerson-Vieira combo again. :sick:

I'm not suggesting we go back to having 2 destroyers, I just feel Tiago and Almiron may not give the defence enough protection.
