I hope we're willing to pay a bit to get him here now. One obvious problem is that we have all those defensive injuries. But I'd also want him to start learning some Italian so he can communicate with the other three in the back line...unlike Tudor, apparently.
It'd be nice to have him now. Dechamps also wants any new signings to learn Italian if they cannot already speak the language.

i hope this signing* push our current defenders to improve their performance to stay next season

*even if we didnt sign him, the idea of a new defender should encourage the current ones to play better and prove their importance to the team
:agree: Lets hope for some improvement at the back.

Agree. I think we should get him now, and if he needs help, Nedved can translate for him;)

Nice, I like Grygera. :) Which position is he better in? Personally, I think we need a fast CB to play next to Barzagli if we get him, like Pepe. But he would be a sweet replacement for CPina.

Chiellini - Barzagli - Pepe - Grygera would be a nice defensive line for Serie A.

I think he prefers RB or CB and is good at both so it doesn't really mather were we use him, he can even play LB, but that isn't his preffered spot.

I just read on Channel4 that Gigli hasn't heard anything about Grygera...LOL.

The President also added that he had no news of the signing of Zdenek Grygera of Ajax, whose summer 'move’ was confirmed by the Dutch giants earlier this week.

“I read the news in the papers, but I knew nothing about it,” he insisted. “Now I want all of us to just focus on returning to Serie A, then we will see what will happen.

“In any case I can guarantee that [sporting director] Alessio Secco and [director general] Jean Claude Blanc are working hard to build a strong team.”

He's either not doing his job properly (i.e. not ensuring he knows what's going on) or he's thrown his "Honesty" policy out the window! :p

Or we havent signed Grygera......

We really should try and get him now, cos he would surely be better than Boum.

Gigli tries do what Moggi did with his lies but he fails...:D
quite stupid to say that, as if he signs no-one can go for him.

If we want to sign him now we have to pay Ajax 700.000 euros.
That we be ideal as we can kick Boum-Boum out and play Grygera in the middle and then next season when we get Heinze/Barzagli/Pepe we will move him out onto the right side of defence
