How do you know you've been India for a while? You start reading the Juventuz Official Cricket thread. :p

Enough of these T20 matches on TV, I may end up becoming a regular. :D

They would face a lot of problems wherever they perform in the subcontinent..in India,Bangladesh or Pakistan.Maybe even Srilanka. But i love the cheerleaders,so i cant complain:p

And man..The Rajhastan Royals really owned The Deccan Chargers today. Why isnt Laxman playing btw?Is he injured? He's been missing from their last couple of games.

Which team do you support serfaaraz?Been to any matches as yet?
i support delhi daredevils because i am from delhi yes i have been to the stadium for one or two matches its sad that delhi cheerleaders had to go back.About laxman he is really a twenty type of player he doesnt run well between the wickets and he is not big hitter of the ball.i think the problem here the deccan chargers have too many players underperforming apart from gilchirst rohit sharma and rp singh

Do you understand cricket..you know, the rules n all?Or do you just mistake the cheerleaders tops for two big balls?:eyebrows:
Well, how can you miss the cheerleaders to begin with? ;) Talk about controversy in this country... T20 is kind of funny because it takes cricket and makes it more American than America. I mean, American baseball could learn a thing or two from it.

But yeah -- the rules. I really have to watch more to get more of the subtleties down beyond what's a 4 or a 6. ;)

T20 is a bit controversial. A bunch of rich guys in the subcontinent are trying to create a cricket analog to the EPL. No five day matches, but shorter format and the intention for a lot more scoring, cheerleaders, spokesmodels, and every American sports gimmick tossed in.

I have to admit -- it beats most of the televised sports in India. I can only take so much of old EPL matches, recycled car races, and live field hockey.

T20 is for the crowds.Im somewhat worried that it might effect traditonal cricket, but it will definatley make the sport grow. The T20 world cup for instance, was a huge success. It probably generated even more crowds and vierwership globally than the ODI world cup.I can see T20's replacing IDO's in the future, but i would hate if if test cricket was effected by it too.Its good fun cricket, but not really the type of cricket than makes or breaks a player. Its a very batsman oriented game.

Coming to today's match..what a blitz by Shoaib Akhtar.I dont think there's any other player out there that i can hate one day,and love the other day. When he wants to,he can rip any team apart. If only he wasnt such an asshole of a guy,he would have achieved so much more.Phenomenal comeback today nevertheless.Im amazed at the manner in which the crowd responds to him. This is a Pakistani, who gets an Indian crowd to its feet.Great stuff.

I actually have met a lot of Indians who have pretty favorable sentiments towards Pakis (all things considered), so I'm not too surprised.

Honest, it seems like most Indians I've met are more freaked out about an untrustworthy China.

Its pretty much the same way here.I know a lot of people who've been to India and who've been treated very well there. The same goes for Indians who come here.Sikh Pilgrims who come to Pakistan every year get an insane amount of hospitality.People on both sides are OK with each other. The Govt's blame game is the main stumbling block as far as good relations are concerned.

My comment was about cricket alone. You should see some India vs Pakistan matches in either country. The moment the home side gets owned by the visiting side, the stadium has pin drop silence. Its quite a spectacle:D.This is primarily why i was surprised at the response Shoaib Akhtar's generating.I daresay, the response he's been getting from the crowd is bigger than the response for any other player in the IPL.Its nice to see.Over 60 years of political differences, and in the IPL you have players from both sides hugging and greeting each other like their brothers.

ive never watched so much cricket in my life. i like to switch on the telly when i sleep and other than pointless proactive commercials cricket is the only thing they show here in melbourne. for those of us not blessed with cable tv that is.

i did watch one game properly though, the one where preity zinta's team won. haha.

We need 241 tomorrow to beat Australia. *Crosses fingers* I really think we have the potential to do it...I've got some big faith in our little team. :agree:

Its hard to keep up with Aus-Windies and Eng-NZ with the IPL going on:D

And typical Shoaib Akhtar.Bowls a blinder in one much, and gets injured 2 matches later. This is so fucking frustrating!

Good win by Kolkata last night.Im really happy for Ganguly. Its a pity they couldnt make it into the top 4 though.

Oh and Sohail Tanvir is KING!

He might get off the hook if PCB's chairman is removed.Ive heard that bookies have bet a bit too much on Shoaib,so they really cant afford to see him getting banned. The underworld still has a say in Subcontinent cricket.
