i actually watched a few hours of this test and the last one (mostly due to the international break). Australia look really bad, what happened to the batting? You know you're in trouble when you need watson to step up.

I dont think its experience.I think its the ageing process. The Australians have relied on fully accomplished players for a good while now,and while they've been brilliant, they havent really nurtured any genuine young players in this time other than Brett Lee,Michael Clarke and Shane Watson perhaps..all of which are'nt youngsters anymore. When you new players make their debuts at 30,you know something is wrong with the raw talent.I think the Australians keep it all a bit too..standardized if you like.IMO they need to throw some really raw players into the team now to build a team for the future.

If you come to India with Cameron White as your main spinner you are in trouble... and yeah, they have been all talk and no action for quite some time now...

they have a very poor spin attack but India should not be so overconfident...Australia could have won the 1st test if they had had a better spinner than Cameron White...India did not even try to chase down a not too difficult target on the last day...

i'm not a big fan of the cricket team... the problem is that Australians still don't know how to play spin... nor do they have a good spinner... and on the turning track in India they haven't been playing well... and yes, the Indian team shouldn't be overconfident... also, i'm sure there'll be cold wars in the dressing room, coz Dhoni lead the team to victory last time around and Kumble is returning to lead the side this time... the Coach Kirsten being a big admirer of Dhoni doesn't help things...

last time I checked, Australia won the series in India back in 2004...they have also beaten the Lankans in Lanka as well, so I think the argument that the Aussies don't know how to play spin doesn't really hold...

maybe it doesn't... but the last time they played in the subcontinent was like 3 or 4 yrs ago... the situation has changed now... i feel they don't have really good players who take the game to the opponents anymore... like i said, their off field comments do not match their on field exploits anymore...

yea but those statements are not exactly supposed to be truthful...it's just psychological warfare...even Sehwag said that they will win the series 3-1, which won't be happening either...the 2 main problems Australia has had is that Hayden has failed in every innings and the lack of a wicket taking spinner...I would tell the Aussies to play their best bowlers...if that means 4 quicks then go for it, 'cos Cameron White is not good enough

shane warne didn't actually set the stage on fire when he bowled in india either... but he was always a threat... n then all the quickies they had were always dangerous... now brett lee happens to be in bad form, the only bowler who has been good this series is Mitchell Johnson i think...

yea Mitch has bowled well, especially at the top order...this is actually the first time Lee has ever played a Test in India, but still as the leader of the pack, he has to do better...they also missed Stuart Clark, who bowls the nagging line and length you need on flat, Subcontinent pitches

the only test matches i watch, from the past few years, has been the Ashes... i've been only following this series coz its the only thing that plays on the company's tv... so for the sake of competition i think australia should win the next match... its a 4 match series?

i truly miss the old aussie side... since i can remember it was almost the same team bar the waugh brothers. It feels different now, they're just not as likable and there are no cult hero players like gilly or warney.
Cameron white has been talked up for about 2 years now as a spin prodigy and i think he'll deliver. Warney was smashed round the park his first test.

watching Australia vs New Zealand... our top order sucks balls right now. We've had two ducks in the top 4. Hayden going for a golden duck.
India are truly the best in the world now.
