To be honest, I'm getting sick of Juve's inability to sign a WC player but I'm afraid it's part of the aftermath of the calciopoli. Secco doesn't have the connections Moggi had, and Juve don't have the prestige we once had.

In other words, we're pretty much fucked this summer.

Connections or no connections..Alonso wanted Juve, this deal should have been completed already...we may not have the same buying power as we did, but talks of 5 million more here and there, could very well make us lose out on him.

Secco has a lot to give away this season, so im sure the funds wont be as scarce.

Look the things this way,and say if soeone can understand fucking Secco and this clowns from the board.
Flamini was on a free transfer. We offered hin 3 mil.per year and Milan gave 4.Of course he choose Milan.
Then his demands about vages were too high for us.Maybe I agree that time. Now we sign Poulsen for 10 mil,and 3,5 mil.per year.
So who is cheap and who is expensieve, who is clever and who is stupid.
Flamini is 10 times better player than Poulsen and would costs us 8 million less for four years.
Thats how Secco is `clever` and what he knows about transfer skills.Idiot.

Poulsen is a friggin' terrible signing at 10 million Euros and 3.5 per year. He's going to be making more than Nedved FFS.

We don't even need this player.

So what is so great about this signing? Just another BS transfer like Knezevic.
I acually dont think the Knezevic signing is bad. You cant ask for more than a back up defender who is actually internationally capped and plays for a decent NT. But considering we already had Mellberg it is rather funky. It would have been better to have a world class CB partnering Giorgio with Mellberg and Legro as backup.
Te question I wonder how much better ,if at all, is Knezevic over Legro

Poulsen fights Juve fans
Sunday 13 July, 2008

The Juventus fans are up in arms over the arrival of Christian Poulsen, but the contentious midfielder is confident he’ll prove them wrong.

The Dane is ready to complete his £6m transfer from Sevilla over the next 24 hours and the news has not gone down well with supporters.

Some unveiled a banner at the pre-season training camp in Pinzolo that read: ‘You’re ridiculous! Poulsen is another flop.’

“I can’t wait to get started, even if I know it won’t be easy for me in the first few games, especially in Rome and Milan after some past incidents.”

Poulsen is notorious among Italian football fans for his unorthodox style, which included run-ins with Francesco Totti in Euro 2004 and Kaka in the Champions League.

“I know full well my reputation as a provocateur, but I am not worried. If a team buys me, they get someone who never gives in and always pushes 100 per cent to win,” he continued.

“I am a proud man with a hard head, so I know I’ll have to play well to win over the fans. Then, as always, what really counts is what I’ll achieve on the pitch.

“I am truly happy to be able to play for Juventus, as they are a great club who’ll give me the opportunity to play in the Champions League. They are also among the most popular sides in Denmark, ever since the days of Michael Laudrup.”

Poulsen is notorious for his consistent fouling and sneaky gamesmanship when marking talented opponents, but Sevilla goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis is willing to vouch for him.

“It isn’t right that people almost always talk about the incidents around him rather than his quality,” said the Italian international.

“He runs hard, battles away and is very useful. He’s one of those players who causes problems when you find him as an opponent and that is why he is often considered irritating.”

Lets give the guy a chance. You may think it's a bad move by the board (what most of us think), but let him prove himself as player in his role.
