I noticed that there are alot of canucks on here. This is now the official place to talk about all things canadian. Start off by stating your location and why you love it.

Montreal.

Cosmopolitan area with a great nightlife.

Landmarks: Place Ville Marie, Olympic Stadium, Bell Center. Club Super Sexe
Great nightlife? Yeah, you come back home smelling like Phillip Morris after hearing RAP and HIP HOP all night.

You should do clubbing at NYC one day...

I visited Canada last year, it was awsome!!! I went to Otawa, Montreal, Toronto and Niagara... this in 4 days

The city that I spend most time was Otawa, becouse the seminary that I had to go was there, but the city that I enjoy the most was Montreal... great place!!!!

I hope to retunr someday, hopefully at the end of this year.

You and I are the only people who judge a city upon the quality of its espresso.
How could you not include Toronto in Canadian Espresso meccas? Huge amounts of Italians with the know how! Mangiacake on McCaul, and (depending on whos behind the bar), Mercatto on Toronto ST., just to name a couple in the downtown core.

Otherwise, Montreal has some pretty friggin good espress aswell.

Never tried the espresso in Montreal. Will have to. Perhaps that has something to due with coffee in French-language areas. The French historically imported cheap robusta beans, and not the higher-quality arabica beans, from their SE Asia colonies from way back when -- resulting in coffee supplies that are very bitter.

To this day, you still can't get a decent espresso in Paris that isn't burnt-rubber-tire bitter because of this legacy.

Hopefully Montreal avoided this centuries ago...

Wouldn't know the quality of the true parisian roast, but I'll take yer word for it. Gotta say, most disappointing brews ever, (probably cause I was looking forward to it so much,) were those in NYC shops. Boo-urns.

Completely agree with you. New York is a city that I've always associated with greatness at just about anything -- on the premise that despite a lot of the garbage for the masses, there's enough critical mass of people behind anything of quality to support a market for something really good.

This last April when I last toured around for decent espresso, I found this not be the case. The best espresso I had required a trip out in Brooklyn, and even that wasn't that great. And most of what everyone raved about in Manhattan was a pedestrian effort at best.

I am Canadian by marriage...my wife is from Toronto

I like Canada, and the fact that there is a Tim Hortons on every corner (also, they ALWAYS have clean bathrooms...a big plus when you have to take a big shit !!!:D)

I used to like the club scene up there (when I was single), as there are TONS of hot chicks without attitudes up there

Now, I spend a lot of my time up there watching calcio at a local trattoria/bar, where only Italian is spoken (wont find that in Buffalo)

also, I can wear my Juve gear, and ppl know what it is (again, not in Buffalo)

Don Cherry for Prime Minister...the guy is awesome !!!!:thumb:
